Sorry for the interuption...

As I was saying, I was so upset that this was our last night in our perfect little villa. The BC had really become a home away from home for me. I felt so comfortable there. I could have stayed for another month easy. It was just so hard to think that this trip that I had been planning for 10 months was now over. But, the idea of getting home to start my TR kept my spirits high so I quickly snapped out of it. I just needed to have a pity party. Jason and I opened one last bottle of wine and spent our last night out on the balcony. Time for bed. Tomorrow, we head home:(

Great photopass pictures! Once again, your kids are adorable!

It is always so depressing leaving Disney. :sad2: :sad2:

Every trip I always say I'm going to get some fish n chips and haven't yet! Next trip no matter what I'm gettin' me some. Hopefully they won't be cold by the time I get to eat them.

I am back. I am sad you trip report is over but woo hoo we will get to read another one soon. I would have freaked out on that carriage ride. Did Brandan sleep through the whole ride? I know how frustrated kid can make you. I know you didn't mean to slap Audrey in the face. On our trip I could have spanked the mess out of Grace. I had to sit on my hands. Brennan even said "Aren't you going to spank her?" . I cried too when we had to leave.

Thannks! Yes, it is sad but I ALWAYS know that we'll be back. That's what keeps me going:)

That's what I said on all of my previous trips so I just had to get some this time. Even though it was almost 10:00 and I had already eaten dinner:rolleyes1 It was worth it though!

WELCOME BACK!!!!!!!! I can't wait to hear all about your trip. I know you're dong a TR right???

The carriage ride really wasn't scary at all. It was extremely freaky when the headless horseman came out at the end. Brendan fell asleep towards the end. The scary man on the recording must have lulled him to sleep:rotfl: Yes, I did regret slapping Aubrey. Well, I really wouldn't call it a slap. More like a love tap:lmao: It sure caught her attention though. I bet you have some fun stories to tell. Did you have any mascara incidents this time with Brennon? I was telling that story to someone the other day, about you telling him his mascara was going to run. It's still one of my favorite stories!!!

Can't wait to hear all about your adventures! How was Courtney when you got home? Was she a good girl?

I think we all slept pretty soundly our last night in the villa. We woke up normal and for the life of me, I cannot remember what time our flight was or what tme ME was coming for us. It couldn't have been too early because we weren't rushing. Here are the kids watching some cartoons before we left...

nkotb005.jpg

Here's where it got fun. So, it was about time to head down to the lobby to wait for ME. We were gathering everything up and Jason says "have you seen my wallet?" Um, "no", I say. Let the panicing begin:scared1: Where is the wallet? Where is the wallet? We tore the room apart. Nowhere to be found. The last place he remembered having it was at DHR then the carriage ride. After that, who knows. It could have been in the carriage, on the ferry, in one of the two monorails that we rode or at HDR!!!! He called HDR first and it wasn't opened. No one there! Meanwhile, I'm on the phone with Southwest because, really, we could have replaced his wallet, but he NEEDED his ID to fly!!!:scared1: The woman on the phone at Southwest said that we could get through security, it would just be a long process. We're talking strip searches ect,... Fun Fun. We were really freaking out. I had no idea what we were going to do. We were due downstairs NOW for ME and still no wallet. I decided to gather my things and head down to the bus to let them know what was going on. When I picked up my bag, guess what was underneath it??? Yes, the wallet. Right in front of our faces the whole time! :rolleyes1  :yay: :sad2: :headache: Yes, this is how I felt.

So we made our way down to the buses and it actually worked out well because we had to rush and I didn't have a chance to look at everything and be sad. All I had time to do was RUN!

We made it there just in the nick of time. The bus driver was waiting for us:woohoo: So here we go, headed to MCO...

nkotb009.jpg

I was getting sad on this busride to the airport. I found myself looking out the window and daydreaming about all of the wonderful memories we had made. Then I noticed this in the sky...

nkotb013.jpg

Now, people think I am crazy with this picture. But I'm sure my fellow DISers can find the sign in the sky. Can you see it? It was a sign from Mickey that I would indeed be back very soon.:)

Up next, our crazy ME driver, MCO and the flight home.

That is so scary! I am glad he found his wallet. That is totally something we would do!!!! The T-shirt your DS has on in this picture is the same shirt I got for my boys to wear on the plane/and our first day at Disney! (very cute)

It was scary. At first, it was fun to think "oh no, we may be stuck here a few more days!" but then the reality of it all set in and we were freaking out! These kinds of things happen to us all the time!

I love those little T shirts. I think they were like $5 or something at the Disney Store. Too bad it's closed now and I have no idea where the closest one is:(

That cloud looks like Mickey Mouse. I see it clearly. It is a sign you are going back in May.:rotfl2:

YAY! I'm glad you see it and I'm not going crazy! It was definitely a sign!

There's not a Disney Store by you is there?

Oh that is too bad your store closed! We have one about 5 minutes from us and we are there every week!!! If I can ever get you anything let me know - or maybe they would even just ship to you?? The t-shirts are great buys at $5.00 - I also got some sweatshirts for them at $6.00!!

Hi, I forgot to mention before that we never made it to Cape May. We were just too exhausted to get up and go so we just skipped it. One TS credit down the drain:headache:

Alright, so we're now on the ME bus and the driver comes on over the loud speaker. You know usually they just let you listen to the Disney video that talks about the next time you come back to Disney??? Well, not this woman. She was going on and on about everything under the sun. I don't remember everything she talked about but I did jot down a few things because I was suprised at how Anti-Disney she was:scared1: She informed all of us that the ME bus drivers are NOT employed by Disney but they work for Mears! She was very adamant about this. She was making fun of how the CM's for Disney have to dress - purple polyester... Said she wouldn't be caught dead in those uniforms. I mean, I agree, but come on, lighten upa bit ok? Seriously, she had this entire speech prepared for the 30 minute drive to the airport. Up next, she proceeded to complain about the crowds at Disney. She asked the bus if anyone had ever visited around Christmas. A few people happily raised their hands (including me because that is my FAV time to visit). She then says, "well if you haven't come around Christmas, DON'T! The crowds are terrible. You'll never want to come back!" Jason was sitting a few seats in front of me with Aubrey and kept looking back. The expression on his face said it all. What is this woman's problem??? Then she started talking about Animal Kingdom and how Disney doesn't own any of the animals in the park and they don't take care of them:scared1: At this point I was about to stand up and tell her to just shut her hole and turn the video on, but I resisted. I can't remember her name but I did send an email about her to Disney when I got home. She was not the way I wanted to end my trip:sad2:

Oh well. We made it safely off the annoying one's bus and into the airport. Poor Jason was our pack mule, as usual...

nkotb017.jpg

We checked our luggage and took a minute to let the kids play with that video water wall. Aubrey loved this...

nkotb018.jpg

Then we headed over to McDonald's for the kids and Au Bon Pan for us. I only remember two things about this lunch. One, Jason left the stroller outside the sitting area with all of our stuff on it... purse, camera, bag... I had to remind him that we weren't in Disney any more and that we needed to keep all of our valuables next to us:( Second, there was this woman in line at Au Bon Pan. Her daughter came up to her and was eating something from McDonalds. Aparantly the father had bought the daughter lunch. The mom was furious. She started going on and on about how they had been "Disney-ing it up" all week and that it was time to get back on healthy food. She took the hamburger away from the child and gave her a bowl of lettuce. No lie! I felt so bad for this girl. Anyway, random thought. So after lunch we headed over to the terminal. The kids were so tired at this point. Check out Aubrey taking a rest...

nkotb021.jpg

I think I was delirious at this point. There was a bar right next to the terminal so I decided to go get Jason and I a drink. When I got to the bar, I was told that I had to have my drink there and couldn't take it to the terminal. Oh well. I ordered a bloody mary and tried to relax (Reminder: I HATE FLYING) The next thing I know, Jason is yelling at me telling me that the plane is boarding:scared1: I sucked down my $8 bloody mary (wasn't leaving that behind) and ran to the line. We made it. Whew! Insane. We were fine and all got seats together. No problemo. Then I look over and who is on the plane with us but the volleyball team from, gulp, Marshall! This was just a cruel joke. I don't really remember much else about the flight except that the kids were awake the whole time and decided to fall asleep during our descent! Here is a picture of me, after having sucked down a very strong bloody mary...

nkotb022.jpg

We landed safe and sound, although one of the wheels did sound like it was going to fall off! We got to the baggage carousel and Aubrey said one of the most memorable things of the trip. We were waiting for our luggage to come around and she said "Mommy, is this Peter Pan?" OMG!!! I cried. I had to tell her that we were back to reality:( Our shuttle to the hotel was there waiting for us and quickly took us back to the LaQuinta. Our car was there, safe and sound waiting to take us home. At this point, I was really glad to be home. I was ready to get back and start telling everyone about our wonderful trip. The hour long drive back from NOLA to Baton Rouge was uneventful. When we got home, my house was spotless. That was so nice. We had NOTHING to eat or drink so I made a quick run to Walgreens for some milk. While I was there I found this guy...

home005-1.jpg

I just had to have him. And with that, our trip was officially over. Not to fret though, I still have a ton of resort pics to post so you're not getting rid of me just yet:rotfl: I'll be baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Great buy on the sweatshirts!

No we don't have a disney store anymore. It is closed.

I've really enjoyed reading your trip report! I especially like all the photos that you embedded into the report; they add so much to the story. And they are great photographs, too! I hope you do the TR for your upcoming trip. :thumbsup2

And yes, the cloud looks like Mickey!

I do not know of a Disney Store in my area, but we do have the World of Disney store in Manhattan that is a smaller version of the ones at Disneyland and Disney World. They sell a lot of the same stuff that is in the parks. They are closing it at some point in the near future though. I think they are planning to open a regular Disney Store instead.

You're gonna get me all choked up since this is coming to an end:( It's been a blast though.

Yes, the cloud does look like Mickey. I don't care what my DH says!!!

Hello everyone. I know I've said this multiple times, but the Beach Club was truly the most amazing hotel I've ever seen. I do have a special place in my heart for AKL, but BC is just so different that you really can't compare the two. It was beautiful, immaculate, wonderfully located, and just made me feel, well, at home! I really didn't feel like I was staying in a hotel, but more like at a friend's house. I took so many pictures so that I would remember every inch of the place. I hope you don't mind me posting them all. They got pretty mixed up so they are in no particular order. I will describe them as needed. Sit back and enjoy Disney's Beach Club Resort:love:

The first thing we saw when we pulled up on the ME...

A view over the landing just outside our room. This was a little sitting area and the entrance to the quiet pool area. I think it was called the Breezeway but don't hold me to it. If anyone knows for sure, please tell me...

Pictures from inside of that same sitting room...

Seeing this statue in person was a bit emotional for me. I had read so much about her. She welcomes you into the villa section of the resort. I remember standing there thinking to myself, I can't believe I am seeing this in person. I reached out to touch her and made sure it was all real!

Here are some pictures that I took one day when I went exploring. This is the open area just outside the villas. The kids had a blast running in this grass...

*sigh* Beautiful pictures of the Beach Club. They brought back a lot of memories from our trip. It was such an amazing experience staying there...I always wanted to stay there and couldn't believe we finally got that opportunity. :goodvibes I would love to go back some day. I agree that it is such an awesome location. :thumbsup2

We took four trips as a family growing up. The first and third trip, we stayed at the Yacht Club. The fourth trip, we stayed at the Beach Club. I loved ALL the photos of the Beach Club that you posted, but the one I left in the quote I think has the room we stayed in! Is that the end wing that is just across a sidewalk from the DVC building? We stayed on the 3rd floor, the one with the little balconies. We would have been one of those 3 middle rooms.
