I just wanted to show you what I did with my LGMH paint chips from home depot. The yellow one was for TGM. I cut them out and decorated them. I used self adhesive pin backs to make them into pins I could wear. I bought a bag of them. I still have a bunch of them left over if you want some. I could mail them to you if you pm me your address.

These are the items I made for our trip. I made the dresses and I ironed the design to my park bag.

Also, could you go ahead and send me one of each of those outfits in a 3T? Thanks!

K, I'm kidding. I wish I was crafty!!!!!!!!!1

Ok, can I just say you are the bombdiggity! Thanks so much for the link to the disigners! There is some cute stuff out there. I wish I could do that!! I just posted a question on the disign board but I will ask you too...

Have you seen that graphic of half Tigger and half Clemson Tiger? What I would do to have one for LSU!!! I NEED this graphic! Hopefully someone out there will know what I'm talking about.

Also, I want to make us family shirts with the stick figures like you have. I have the cute black and white decals on my car and I want to make a shirt. I would like the stick figures on the back and the WDW 2008 on the front pocket. Where did you get your's.

The green mickey head thing is too cute. I have to admit, when I first read aboout them, I thought "seriously?". But I am quickly becoming a DIS addict and I can't wait to wear mine loud and proud! I wasn't sure what I was going to do but now you've given me inspiration!

Also, I didn't respond yet about watching my nieces and nephews. I do love a full house of kids. I am the youngest of 7 and my kids are number 13 and 14 of the grandkids. It's great!!! All of my siblings live within 5 minutes of each other and we see each other every day. The kids are all best friends. Anyway, here's a pic of the girls playing princess parade throughout the house this morning. 3 of them are napping now praise God! That's my little princess at the bottom!

You are a blessed woman to have a family like that. The parade pic is sooooo cute. I once threw a bithday party for Courtney's baby doll. She begged me to. I baked a cake and rounded up all the leftover birthday party stuff, it was mix matched. She had the little girls from the neighborhood and her cousins from next door come over. They wrapped stuff from their room to give her, Happy meal toys mostly. They had a blast.

Just visit each of the web addresses from the disign gallery and start looking. I don't remember where I got mine. I might have the persons address in my pm box. I am gonna look. I think posting your question is a good idea. There are so many helpful people here.

Baby doll birthday! I have heard it all. Actually, I remember way back when before I had kids, I was at a friends house and one of the kids there was having a birthday party for Thomas the Train. I thought it was so funnny.

Thanks for all of your tips! I think I have found some really great designs!

Look what a wonderful Diser just did for me. YAY!!! I love the DIS!

Look what time it is and look what I'm doing! I need to have my head examined. I just can't sleep these days. Every time I close my eyes I imagine us getting on the plane, or us getting off the plane at MCO, or us checking into BCV... You get the picture. There must be some kind of name for this condition. Dis-somnia maybe??

So today I tried out all of my stroller gadgets. I don't know what it is but I am obsessed with my stroller. I want to make sure I have everything I could possibly need to make the kids comfortable and things run smoothly. Here's my stroller saga...

I have a double stroller already - Peg Pergo Aria Twin. I liked the thing when I spent the $300 to buy it but it has become a royal pain in the booty. It's huge, heavy, and doesn't steer well at all. I never planned on taking it to Disney with us. I was always just going to rent a double there. But then I started thinking about the airport and the walk to and from the buses with two tired and cranky kids. Also, it was going to cost me an arm and a leg to rent a double there so I decided to bite the bullet and buy and new double umbrella. I went to Babies R' Us with every intention of buying the new Jeep double stroller. I have the single and have been very happy with it. I get there and have it in my buggy and then I see the bright colored $19.99 single umbrella strollers. Now, money wasn't really the reason for me to start second guessing myself. Like everything else on this trip, I wanted it to be perfect. I started thinking, "what if I get 2 single strollers and some of those handy stroller connectors." You should have seen me in the store. I had the whole contraption put together, wheeling it around to see if it would work. I was happy with it. Also, I thought it would be nice to be able to separate the kids if needed. So, I put my trusty Jeep back on the shelf and went with the 2 singles. LONG story short, I polled the greater part of Baton Rouge and we all cumulatively decided that I neede the Jeep. I returned the two singles and got my double. Since then, I have been going crazy with the stroller accessories: stroller bags, stroller rain cover, stroller umbrellla, stroller fan. Heck, if they made a stroller margarita machine, you know I would find a place to put it! So here are some pics of the stroller saga:

Here are my babies in the two singles with the stroller connectors. Look how sad they look, almost as if they're saying "Mom, go get the Jeep. We look rediculous!"

random015.jpg

And here they are in the Jeep. I was trying out the rain cover to make sure they were ok with it. They look much happier. Shrink wrapped, but happier.

random083.jpg

So I am happy with my decision. I know I had you on the edge of your seat there. Maybe tomorrow I'll talk about our seating arrangements on the plane. Ooooh, riviting!

I'm going to attempt to get some sleep now. Wish me luck!:earsboy:

I am signing on! We are bringing our 17 month old twins in October for their first trip, so I am anxious to see how your son does. Your kids are adorable and I'm sure they'll have a blast.

DH and I are also huge Disney fans that have been to WDW only without the kids (4 times, but who's counting!), so I am loving your report so far.

BTW, I also LOVE the name Aubrey, but couldn't sell DH on it, so we have an Abby :)

Yay! Thanks for signing on! This is so much fun. It really is therapeutic to be able to write down all of the random thoughts in my head!

I have a good friend (the one that got me hooked on Ohana) who is taking her 3 year old and 1.5 year old in December. She says the same thing about wanting to see how my trip goes. I am happy to do the test run. I will definitely do a trip report for all of those parents of younger kids out there. It's so funny because my husband and I always said we were going to wait until the kids were at least 5 to take them. On our last trip (with no kids), we kept seeing little girls Aubrey's age and saying, "That looks like Aubrey" or "She's the same age as Aubrey and they're doing it!" By the end of our trip, we had scheduled to come back for her birthday. We cracked in a big way and I couldn't be happier with our decision! Aubrey is really starting to get the whole thing now. The other day we were getting in the car and there was a plane flying over. She started crying hysterically because she wanted to be on that plane going to WDW! Too funny. I'll ask her in the mornings what she wants to do today and she says, "Go to Disney World?" Ahhhhhh, I'm so proud!

Speaking of, time to eat some breakfast. I have to take my mom to the dr. later so not sure how much posting I'll get done. Happy Tuesday!

Too funny about the plane flying over head.

DH and I also said we'd NEVER take kids in strollers, well our twins are just 13 months and we can't wait anymore, we're booked for October, they'll be 17 months! I know they are young, but we have to go back! Hopefully we'll be buying DVC and we'll be planning lots more trips.

I'll keep reading your posts.

DVC is wonderful. My DH and I actually signed up for it years ago when the home resort was Saratoga Springs and then backed out at the last minute because of second thoughts. When we went back this past November, we found out that the home resort was AKL which is our absolute FAVORITE!!! We were sold instantly and haven't regretted it since. We're staying at BCV this time because I've always wanted to stay there. We plan on going back for my DS's 3rd birithday. We're hopefully going to do DCL land and sea and we'll stay at AKL then.

By the way, if you can handle twins on a daily basis, I think you can handle WDW with them. I don't know how parents of multiples do it!

Grace has two strollers. One is a little cheap 19.99 pink one from babies r us, just like the ones you returned. I only use it sparingly. I don't like it but the big one takes up the whole back of my Acadia. I keep the cheap one on hand in my Acadia at all times. You never know when you might need a stroller. Thats about all that one is good for. I make sure to pack my good one if I know I am going somewhere that I will need it. I am glad you changed your mind and went back for the Jeep one. I laughed so hard at them shrinkwrapped. The cheap one also pinches my finger sometimes errrrrrrrrrr, not fun! Grace can never get comfortable in it she looks like she is stuffed in it. Since you are into stroller accessories did you get the stroller hooks from babies r us? I got ours for Disney World and I love them. They come in a pack of two for like 5 dollars. It is just a hook that you hang on the stroller handel and you can hang your bags from them. My dh broke one of ours yesterday. He was putting the stroller back in the garage and a wasp flew at him and he threw the stroller. :lmao: :lmao: I wish I could have seen that.

When it got close for our trip I could not sleep either. I know how you feel. I went on that trip thousands of times in my mind before we even left. I would picture everything.

I am glad I went with the Jeep too. I really do love it and it folds up so small. I keep it in my car. My $300 Peg Pergo is in the attic. I think I may sell it on Ebay.

I do have the stroller hooks but they don't really work on the umbrella stroller because of the handles. Regular stroller have the bar type handle that goes across which is easy to hook them too. It's no biggie though because I can just hang bags, ect. on the handles.

Yes, I am getting a visual of your husband vs. wasp. Bet that was funny!

The not sleeping thing is really becoming a problem for me. I think I finally fell asleep around 2:30 and woke up at 7:00. And I wonder why I have absolute no patience by the end of the day. We also have other things going on. My SIL is in the hospital about to deliver a very newborn baby. I started a thread about it. Check it out if you like. We can use all the prayers we can get!

I can count down with you!!! :yay:
We arrive on the same day!!! 1:25 at MCO!
But this is a short trip for us, so we're leaving on the 30th.
I am taking just my 12 yr old son for an early "Halloween" trip.

I go back and forth between it being so long to wait, and how will I get everything I want to done in two months???

I love your title of "domestic engineer". I stayed home with my kids for years, and I wouldn't trade that time for anything. I loved being with them. I was lucky enough to find a part time job with super flexible hours once my youngest started first grade.

Your kids are adorable, I love the monkey shirts!
That's great that your daughter is so excited about going to Disney.
It'll be a great way to spend her birthday!
My DD loved BBB, but she is 10. There were plenty of little ones there though and they all did well.

The jeep stroller sounds nice! (Its been a while since I've used a stroller).
I would guess it would be much easier to manage than two clipped together.
I'm enjoying your LSU stories. (And yours too Coteau chick)

I will keep your sil in my thoughts.
I hope that everything goes ok.
Its no wonder you are having trouble sleeping.

We'll be arriving at MCO at around the same time! Small world eh? Where are you staying? Your trip isn't too short. Most of our trips have been 4 and 5 nights. Our longest trip was 7 nights at AKL. That was a total splurge and probably a bad financial decision. We so could not afford it at the time but I was 5 months pregnant and I wanted to live it up one last time before I had kids. I paid for it slowly over the months before we went so it really wasn't that bad. I personally don't regret it, it's my DH that always likes to bring that up. ANYWAY...

I love being home with my kids. It's been hard lately though because of my lack of sleep. Right about now is when I start hitting the wall and DH won't be home for another hour. This is when I pour myself a glass of wine and let the kids play in their room. I tell my DD not to come get me unless there is blood, choking, or broken bones involved. They are bathed and fed. I'm done.

I am still having second thoughts about BBB. I don't know what I'm going to do. I think I am going to ask for the Cinderella dress from the Disney store as a birthday present for her. I just can't justify spending $100+ at BBB. Anyone know how much the dress is in the store? And then, will it be comfortable enough for her to wear all day? Uhhhhh, decisions decisions.

I know we only have 2 months until our trip but I feel like it will be here tomorrow. I wish it would be here tomorrow! I could seriously pack our bags tonight and go.

Keep an eye out for more LSU stories as football season is about to begin. First game is 8/30. I should start a ticker for that. We're going to take the kids tailgating even though it's going to be 172 degrees. We're used to it I guess. GEAUX TIGERS! Do I hear Nat'l Champs 2008???

I should also say that I just talked to my SIL. She is more than likely going to have a C section Thursday. She has asked me to be in the delivery room. I need to prepare myself for seeing such a tiny baby come out! All will be fine. I have faith!

More later after bedtime!

I think I could use a glass of wine right about now too. It was crazy over here this afternoon. I finally got the kitchen cleaned, Grace bathed and put in bed. DH is off all week and I feel like I can't get anything done when he is here all week. I tell my kids the same thing don't come get me unless there is blood. Courtney and Brennan are older but they still fight. The other night Courtney "Borrowed" his LSU cap and he found out. Man it was on! All three of us were screaming. I was screaming to calm them down ( that was smart). I am surprised we didn't wake dh or Grace.

As Aubrey gets older, I am getting louder! I never wanted to be a screamer but really sometimes that's all you can do! I took both of the kids out for a walk yesterday. Not in the stroller, I wanted to let them burn off some energy. Well, they pretty much did the opposite of whatever I told them to do. It was making me crazy! Hope this is not forshadowing on how Disney will be!:scared:

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't posting too much. It's been a little hectic in th Becnel household! My husband is working late a lot and not home until after 7. By the time he eats dinner and the kids are down, there's not a lot of time left. I would personally love to hope online and do the DIS all night but I feel like I should talk to my DH a little:) This is just so calming for me. Definitely therapeutic.

Anyway, I am debating cancelling my Chef Mickey's reservation. I have it planned for 10:30 on the day we are going to Typhoon Lagoon. I wasn't planning on staying at TL very long but after reading more about it on Tour Guide Mike's, I really think we are going to be there for a while. We've never been and don't know what to expect. My plan was to go to CM and then head over to TL for about 11:30 or 12:00. Then we were going to leave at about 2 and go back to the hotel. Do you think we should cancel CM and go to TL when it opens? We are doing so many other character meals that I don't think we'll miss this one. Also, we'll be going back in March 2010 for my DS 3rd birthday so we can do it then.

My mission for the weekend is to get new tennis shoes. I want to have them good and broken in before our trip. Don't want to have the dreaded Disney blisters. Uhhhhhh, can you even imagine!

I am also having plane anxiety. I want to bring my laptop on the plane to let the kids watch movies. The only thing is that I'm not sure what the etiquette is on heahphones. My kids are too young to use headphones so will the noise of the movie disturb other passengers? This is the same flight that we always take when we go to Disney (nonstop Southwest) and the plane is usuallly filled with kids headed to Disney. I'm not too worried about it. I just don't want to get "those" looks from people if we're disturbing them. I figure that if they didn't have the movie to watch that there would be a lot more whining so what's worse, movie noise or cranky kids? Thankfully, the flight is only about 1:20 minutes so we should be fine.

I feel like such a bad reporter because I really don't have much to say. I think I may start posting some of my fav pics from previous trips. Would people be interested in seeing these? Oh well. If not, just keep scrolling:)

I've gone through some old pics and pulled out my favorites. Hope I'm not boring you too much. There are just so many good memories associated with these pics!!!

This is my DH popping our celebratory bottle of champagne. We have made it a tradition to have a bottle the night before we leave for Disney. This was before our second trip in Sept 2004.

I love this pic of DH and Flick.

Poor DH. I make him pose for pics in all of the silly hats! He's a good sport!

I got picked at Flights of Wonder to sit on stage while a huge owl flew at my face. I've actually been picked 3 times. If anyone wants to know how to get picked, let me know. The owl flew right over my head as I took the pic. Can you see it's tail feathers at the top of the pic??
DISNEYSeptOct2004071.jpg

A pic of Expedition Everest in the building process. I swear, we went so many times that I could make a timeline with pics of it being built!
DisneyMay2005005.jpg

Me and DH got our faces painted at AK. We had to represent for the LSU Tigers! I have this pic framed in our house. I cropped out my fat arm before I framed it!
DisneyMay2005009.jpg

This is our Disney mystery bird. We have seen it on multiple trips at Downtown Disney. It's a bird that swims under water. Is it a bird or is it a fish? We have affectionately dubbed it a "Fird"
DISNEYSeptOct2004199.jpg

Epcot on New Year's Eve was INSANE!!! So many people but we had a blast. This is a pic I took of someone that we still think is Josh Groban. He was walking down the steps of Mexico and my DH says, "OMG, it's Josh Groban!" I didn't believe him. We snapped a pic so we could examine it closer later. I still don't think it's him but what a funny story. Maybe it was all of the Japanese beer that we had that night!
Disney2004PartIIINewYearsEve118.jpg

Last one... So New Year's was a blast at Epcot. We stumbled across this party and we still don't know what it was all about. I can't remember where it was but it was set behind one of the country pavillions. There was a long red carpet and we walked in and it was like we stepped back in time to the 50's. There was a swing band playing and everyone was dancing and having a good time. I still have no idea what it was but it was free and a blast!
Disney2004PartIIINewYearsEve090.jpg

Ok, that's it for now. If I get positive feedback, I will be happy to share more pictures. Thanks!

On our last trip it took forever to get to typhoon lagoon and downtown disney on the bus. I would plan on it taking a while to get to typhoon lagoon. You might want to spend more time there. You could relax and let the kids swim and play in the water. We really did like it but the water was a little too cold in Feb. for us to let Grace swim. I have never been to CM. Are you on the dinning plan?
