I was concerned about our flight time (11:15) because it would be too early to feed the kids lunch before and too late to do it after. I decided to get some food at the airport while we waited. Brendan was not eating "real" food so I just got him some pretzels and Aubrey and I split a turkey sandwich. The prices were rediculous. One turkey sandwich, one drink, a bag of pretzels and a bananna = amost $15!!! Oh well, it was my first official purchase of the trip so that made it ok.

I forgot to tell you my boarding pass story. Well, when you fly Southwest, you can print out your boarding passes 24 hours before your flight right? So the day before, I had set my alarm on my phone for 11:13 so I could be at the computer ready to print our passes at exactly 11:15. I REALLY wanted to get boarding group A to insure that we got 3 seats together. Ideally, I wanted the first row since it has more space but I knew that was hoping for a lot. So there I sat, in front of the computer, watching the clock. 11:15 came and I started clicking like a mad woman. It wouldn't let me do it right away. I finally got in after what seemed like 20 minutes but in reality it was only 11:16! Aparantly every second counts because I got in boarding group A, but we were assigned numbers 21-23! Did that many people get in before me? I was worried about this but tried not to let it stress me out too much.

The time came for us to board. I proudly lined up with group A and waited our turn. I felt bad as I looked around at the rest of the people who were not in group A. A lot of them had small children. I would have been freaking out if I were them. Families are allowed to board after group A but it still would have been unsettling to me. I am terrified of flying as it is so I had a lot to worry about! Anyway, we boarded without a problem, gate checked the stroller and got a seat all together near the front of the plane. The two front seats were taken by single men:headache: I mean, really guys. Have a heart. I decided to not let this worry me and took my seat by the window. Aubrey was in the middle and Brendan was in my lap. Here we are getting settled...

She was so excited to fly. The stewards came around (is that what you call them??) and I asked if they still gave out wings for first time fliers. He said that they would have to wait until the end of the flight so he could make sure they behaved. He was joking but I was a little put off by this. The wings come with a cute little activity book that would have been great for them to have during the plane ride. Thankfully, I was armed with a bag full of distractions from candy to window clings to coloring books to DVD's (see PTR - I went overboard with this I know). The plane started to taxi onto the runway and Aubrey's face lit up. When we started going faster and faster, I felt her little hand squeeze my leg. I think it was a mixture of excitement and fear! Once in the air, she was fine and was much more interested in coloring than anything else. Brendan, by this time, had started to settle down in my arms. He has never used a nuk. He prefers his fingers. When those babies went into his mouth, I knew I was home free.
disneyday1032.jpg

He was out within 5 minutes:woohoo: I know that sounds mean but really, it made life much easier to have him quiet and still on the flight. Our friendly steward came to get drink orders. Coffee for Jason, a coke for Aubrey, and for me... a bloody mary please! Hey, I deserve it. We made it. I mean, officially made it! We were on the flight, Brendan was sound asleep, Aubrey was content, and I was celebrating...
disneyday1035.jpg

The flight flew by (ba dump ump) and before we knew it, the pilot was announcing our descent. Aubrey was so funny. She kept saying that the "pirate" was talking to us instead of the pilot. Brendan was still fast asleep. In fact, I had to wake him up once we landed! As we descended, the grounds of Orlando became clearer and clearer. So clear that the pilot was able to point out Disneyland to all of us:scared1: Really man, do I need to come up in the cockpit and give you a Disney lesson? It's Disney WORLD, unless you took a wrong turn back there and we are now about to land in Anaheim!:rotfl:

We land safely on the ground and anxiously wait for the plane to unload. I couldn't believe it. We were actually here. We made it. Although we have already had an adventure, the fun hadn't even started yet!

Up next, WE MADE IT! Checking in and DTD!

Hi I know what you mean about the boarding A, I fret
everytime I need to print the boarding passes!! Even when we get the "A"
I worry about us sitting by each other! We have 6 of us. I sit with DS and DD19. My DH sits with DD20and DD15. But when we came back from WDW on the 10th of Sept. My DH was not with us. so it was the 5 of us.

But guess what? We flew out of Orlando at 8:20 p.m. on the 10th THERE WAS ONLY 26 people on the flight!! Yes, 21 plus 5 of us!! My DD20 and DD15 set with each other DS and I set with each other and DD19 set all by :dance3: :dance3: herself!!
And the other people were spread out in the plane!! That was sooooo nice!!:cheer2:

All the other times we flew SW it was so packed!

I'm enjoying reading your post!!

That is hilarious! Sounds like a Saturday Night Live skit or something! And what's up with the international flight thing??? I've heard JFK is a crazy airport!

JFK IS crazy. Loud, chaotic, LOTS of flight delays (I think we're #1 for that!) and crowded. The funniest thing with the gold guy was that around the same time I saw him, there was a commercial on TV for the NYS lottery. The skit for the commercial was this guy had won the lottery so he was wearing a ton of silver and was going through airport security and he kept beeping. Then, in real life, I encounter Mr. Bling Bling. :rotfl:

Glad to hear your flight went so well. I too am a nervous flier. Turbulence is not my friend. And it's nice that the kids were so well behaved. I don't have any of my own yet, so I don't have to deal with airports + kids just yet!

Did you really see Disney World from the plane? Every time I fly in I try to see if I can spot it, and even after 7 trips I have yet to see it from the sky!

That is so nice. Those seats are a little tight! On our flight home, we were actually told that there were plenty of empty seats and that we could spread out. We wanted to sit together though so DH and I could help each other out with the kids.

Glad you are enjoying the report. I will be doing a post later today during nap time!

That is so funny. That guy had to know that would happen with all of the bling!

I have been soooooo scared to fly in the past but I was ok this time. I think I figured out why. The times that I flew before this, DH and I were by ourselves and the kids were home with grandparents. I was so worried about something happening to us and leaving them alone. This time, since we were alll together, it didn't bother me. I figured if something would happen, we'd all be gone together. Man, that's morbid!!! Oh well, thankfully nothing happened, not even turbulence!

I have flown into Orlando 7 times also and none of the pilots have ever pointed out WDW. We were on the right side of the plane and the pilot said you could see it out the left so I did not get to look. I'm not convinced. I will make sure to sit on the left next time and keep my eyes opened!

Glad you had a smooth flight. And Brendan took a nice nap. I've been flying with the kids since they were babies and when they were little, naps on the plane were good!

My husband always sets off the metal detector. He always forgets something, usually that he is wearing a belt. :sad2:

Not sure, but I think they save some of those A groups for business tickets or something like that. :confused3

Can't wait to see the Beach Club!!!

Brendan liked the white noise on the plane. It also covered up their whines more than I thought it would!

I figured they saved those tickets for special people. Oh well, we still got lucky.

Beach club pics are coming!!!

Just a quick post before I go, gasp, EXERCISE!!! I am starting back up with a personal trainer tonight and I am frightened. Please pray for me and my muscles.

Alrighty, where was I... so the plane was safely on the ground. The sound of the landing actually woke Brendan up. He had slept for a good hour so he was in a great mood. Our steward came by and handed the kids their wings. I was excited and wanted to put them on the kids so they could show them off. Well, wings used to be pins but now they just come with a little sticky backing. There was no way these would stay on their shirts so I decided to pack them away for the scrap book. Oh well.

Exiting the plane was uneventful. After a quick stop the the bathroom and a call to my mom to let her know we were safe, it was off to the tram...

disneyday1037-1.jpg

While on the tram, I decided to freshen up my make up a bit and put on some lipstick. I let go of the stroller and it flew across the tram, with the kids in it:scared1: Lesson number one of the Disney trip, lock stroller wheels on monorail type vehicles!

We exited the tram and made our way to ME. They directed us to the appropriate line and I couldn't believe it when we actually got to line up here...
disneyday1038-1.jpg

There was no one in line. I don't think we even stopped walking and went straight out to the bus. Our chariot awaits...

disneyday1039-1.jpg

We loaded the bus with great excitement. I had imagined this moment for so long now and it was actually happening:cool1: Well, the bus hadn't even started moving and we got a taste of what our future bus rides would be like with Brendan...
disneyday1040-1.jpg

And two seconds later...
disneyday1041-1.jpg

He is quite dramatic. I have no idea where he gets this from:rolleyes1

Aubrey was very excited. This was the first time they had ever been on a bus, or anything without a car seat for that matter. She thought she was hot stuff. She checked out everything and insisted on having a seat to herself. Everyone settled down as soon as this came on. This was the official greeting to Disney, everytime I see it, I get butterflies...
disneyday1042-1.jpg

Alright, I really hate to do this to you but I have to get going to exercise. I will do my best to get back to the computer tonight. It has been a lot harder making these posts than I tought it would, and it's KILLING me!!!

Up next, checking in and DTD!!

When Courtney was in ninth grade her school hired a new P.E. teacher. This lady was a personal trainer. She gave those girls a work out. Courtney was so sore she said it even hurt to sit on the toilet.:rotfl2:
I think you will need our prayers. I am proud of you for losing weight. I know how much hard work that is. Keep it up.

Yay! :yay: An update!

DME is great! I love it! Now if only they could provide free transportation from my home to my local airports I'd be all set! :rotfl:

That's funny that Brendan acted that way on all the buses. And I love how DME manages to take up so much square feet for queue lines with all those ropes!

And I love the palm trees at MCO...it's like YES! I'm at my 2nd home again!

And good luck with the trainer!

YAY! Another update! I love the anticipation of getting into the DME bus! A whole new world just waiting to be explored! :goodvibes

How great would it be for some kind of Disney vehicle to pick you up from your house!!! Brendan HATED the buses. He is just a mover and he had to be way too still on the buses!

It's so funny how MCO is so familiar to us. We just walk through there like we've been there a million times. Feels like we have!

YAY! Another update! I love the anticipation of getting into the DME bus! A whole new world just waiting to be explored! :goodvibes

That's when it really begins for me. It is truly a magical way to start your vacation. Whoever thought of it is a genious!!!

Ok, I just want everyone to know the only reason I am able to type this is because my fingers are the only thing on my body I can move. I had a great workout. So great that I could barely get to the car. I really feel great for having gone but man, it was tough. I am going back tomorrow. Just got to get back on the wagon.

Ok, sorry for having to keep you waiting. The bus ride to the resort was pretty uneventful. We watched the video and got more and more excited by the second. We did have a really good bus driver. Probably the best I've ever had. Can't remember his name. I was too excited to notice I guess. He gave us Beach Clubbers a tip for getting to Magic Kingdom. Since we were able to walk to Epcot, he recommended to walk through Epcot and take the monorail instead of waiting for a bus. Seeing Brendan's reaction to the bus, this was sounding very appealing to us. I put that in my memory bank for later. Finally, we pull up to...

animalkingdom085.jpg

Now, I don't even know where to begin on how to describe how amazing this resort is. DH and I have visited a few times on our previous trips but never did I ever think I would be staying here (thanks DVC!!!) It was surreal to say the least. We unloaded off of the bus and walked into the front doors of the BC. We were welcomed by a friendly CM who said the words that I have been longing to hear for an eternity, "Welcome Home." I truly felt like I was walking into my own living room. Well, that is, if I were a quabillionaire who owned a mansion on the beach:lmao: He escorted us to the check in desk where we were greeted by Emily, the CM. Now, Emily was sweet, but on a magical scale of 1 - 5, I'd give her a weak 2.5. Like I said, I had been invisioning this moment for so long now. My plan was to look really happy and appreciative (which I was so that was easy) and ask if we would be able to get an Epcot view. I am not the kind of person that EVER asks for anything like this. I usually just take what I get, but this time I REALLY wanted everything to be perfect, including our view. Emily glanced down at her computer and said, "Well, it looks like all we have is a king bed with a quiet pool view." My heart did not sink. I had heard that the quiet pool was nice and, well, quiet, so it really didn't bother me. Emily then proceeded to try and sell me on the quiet pool saying that the Epcot view really isn't an Epcot view and you could only barely see Illuminations over the tree tops. Ok, settle down Emily. I'm not going to pitch a fit here. I'm just glad to be staying at the BC. I will take a dumpster view if that's all you have! Then I decided to mention the fact that we were there for Aubrey's birthday. Again, I'm not one to ask for handouts or special treatment, but I had heard so many wonderful stories of what different resorts had done for birthdays that I had to give it a shot. Emily seemed caught off guard and told me that she'd "see what they could do." Ok Emily, don't pull out your magic wand for me or anything. Again, not phased by this. I was just thrilled to be there. She then asked the ages of the kids. I told her Brendan was 1.5 and, without thinking, I told her Aubrey was 3. I had been struggling with this before our trip. I was worried about the fact that she'd be turning 3 while we were there, but we did not buy her a park ticket or food plan. I had been assured that it would be ok. Well, since I told her Aubrey was 3, she printed a room key for her. Get this, she actually asked if I wanted to give her charging privilages. Ummm, yes. Aubrey will be taking her brother out for dinner one night so she will need to be able to charge it to the room:laughing: I didn't say anything, just no thank you. I then asked about our package that we had shipped ahead. She told me that it was there and it would be brought to our room shortly. I also needed to pick up some items that I had rented from A Baby's Best Friend - a box fan for white noise, a CD player to play the kids sleepy time music, and an assortment of age appropriate toys. They looked a little perplexed when I asked about it but only after about 5 minutes of waiting, we had our items and were off to our room. Emily had given us the wrong directions to our room so we ended up on the second floor of the regular rooms. I knew this was wrong because the villa room numbers are 3 digits while the regular rooms are 4. DH doubted me. How dare he! After a quick "I told ya so" we headed back down the elevator and asked which way to the villas?? We were then given the correct directions and headed toward our room. We then came upon this little lady...
disneyday2-2005.jpg

Now, when I tell you I had been waiting for this for what seemed like an eternity, this was really a moment that I could not believe was actually happening. I had imagined coming upon the Ariel statue, and then, there she was. Right there in front of me. I reached out and touched her, just to make sure it was real. Jason laughed out loud at me, but it really was an emotional moment for me. I know, I'm a dork. We walked passes Ariel and stepped over this...
epcot116.jpg

The lobby of the villas was filled with sunlight. There were multiple hallways that spread out from the center lobby like a wagon wheel (much like the desigh of MK!) There were a few sitting rooms, a hallway to the quiet pool, and another hallway to rooms. We headed to the elevator and pressed the button...

We got off the elevator and headed to our room. It was the first one in the hallway which was nice. It was just far enough away from the elevator to avoid the noise but close enough to be convenient. Perfect...
disneyday1049.jpg

I put the card key in the slot and again had another moment. I opened the door and was greeted by a room that exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful, and huge!!! Here are some pics that I took before it got messy...

The living area with the kitchen in the background...
disneyday1047.jpg

Our bed had this cute little guy waiting for us...
disneyday1044.jpg

The balcony. This was HUGE!!!
disneyday1048.jpg

And the oh so anticipated, whirlpool tub...
disneyday1046.jpg

This was going to do wonders for my aching bones after our long days in the parks!

I took more pics of our room but only after it was lived in for a week, so it's a bit of a mess. I am going to post them though because I know if I were reading this report, I would want to see the room too. So here they are, mess and all:)...

The entry way
lastday078.jpg

Washer and dryer. This was a totaly luxury. Moreso than the tub! It was great to be able to wash clothes. We came home with all clean laudry!
lastday079.jpg

Shower and second sink. DH and I had our own spaces. We don't even have this at home!
lastday080.jpg

Dear ole John...This had it's own little room too which was nice.
lastday081.jpg

Closet...
lastday083.jpg

And the bedroom. Brendan's crib was on Jason's side and I had Aubrey's little cot on my side.

Oh, that reminds me about another little moment of magic with Emily, the CM. I told her that I requested a crib for Brendan. She told me that it was not a guarantee. I would either get a crib or a pack n' play. I told her the reason I requested it was because we were going to be there for so long and I wanted him to have a comfy place to sleep. Luckily, the crib was delivered shortly after we got to our room. So was our package that I had shipped ahead with snacks, diapers, wine, and champagne!
lastday084.jpg

After standing in awe and a few bathroom breaks, we were out the door for dinner. Our plan was to head to DTD for dinner and shopping. Did we make it there or have a change of plans??? I will let you all know tomorrow. Now, I need Ibuprofen and a hot shower. Nighty night:)

Ohhhhh....it's beautiful! And it looks huge, too! (Oh...I googled it...it IS huge....a 1br at BCV is 726 sf! That's bigger than my apartment!)

And yes, a washer and dryer is a LUXURY!! Although that tub looks mighty nice too! I could see myself packing a suitcase full of dirty laundry if my room at the hotel had a washer and dryer. I don't have one in my building here so I haul it 2 blocks down the street. My friend from here has DVC and that's what she does....she packs all her luggage with dirty clothes and washes it at DVC, then washes it again just before returning home! :rotfl:

Must. Look. Into. DVC!

Thanks again for writing this report! I'm really enjoying it! (Pay no mind to the drooling over your accommodations!)

Wow, I knew it was big but not that big! We could seriously live there. No problem.

DVC is awesome. DH and I really flip flopped with joining. It's a huge chunk of change. We actually signed up a few years ago and then backed out the next day. We had kept in touch with the same sales guy and he was super patient with us. He knew that we wanted to join, it was just a matter of finding the right time. Well, when we went last November, during our bar hopping day, we saw that the new home resort was AKL. This is my ABSOLUTE favorite resort, yes even over BC. I was sold right then and there. We were so excited and I haven't looked back once. It's great if you know that you will be going to Disney often. There are many other places to go though, like the beach in San Destin. We will be using that this summer. Anywho, if you ever get serious about it, let me know and I can give you our guy's name. He's great!

How was the view from your balcony? I love the size of the 1br villa! :)

Oops, I know I took a hundred balcony views. I will go upload them now. Sorry about that. That's the most important thing!

LOVING your trip report and love the pics of the BCV!!!!

Thanks, BCV is an amazing place. Everyone should splurge and try to stay there at least once in their lives! It's heaven on earth!

Sorry I failed to post the room from our balcony. This is very important I realize. And what a view it was. The quiet pool was great. It was very QUIET! It opened at 7am but rarely was there anyone ever in it at that time. Each morning, I would go out on the balcony and have a cup of coffee. Some mornings I even managed to see the sun come up! There was also beautiful, soft, soothing music playing in the backgroud. It was so soft that you could barely hear it but loud enough to be completely relaxing. I don't know what kind of music it was. I wouldn't call it classical or elevator type of music. It definitely had that Disney quality to it for sure. Maybe whimsacal is a good way to describe it. Whimsacally tropical! Ok, so here's the view...

epcot044.jpg

Ok, ok, sorry. I couldn't resist:lmao: Imagine if that was your view. Wow, I would never leave the balcony! Even with this view it was hard to leave (this is the real one):)

Off to the left was a beautiful garden and walking path. We realized later that this path led directly out to the parking lot and then to the buses...

And here's a shot of the pool at night...

Coffee in the morning and wine at night. Now, that's the way to enjoy this kind of view!!!

WOW! What a beautiful resort. I didn't find your update till this afternoon. I went to bed early last night. I like the washer and dryer, any mom would appreciate that. Did they charge you for Aubrey's tickets when they found out she was three? I like the way you keep the updates coming. I hate having to wait a month for an update. Thank you.
