Our DD will be turning 3 on our second last day at Disney will we need to buy her passes? On her Birthday will we have to pay for her at the character meals? What special things can we do for her?
Thanks Jaime

You can get an "It's My Birthday" button at City Hall in MK. I've heard that kids get great character action while wearing these. How about a special character dinner?

There are also little cakes that can be purchased at the Main Street bakery for around $12.99 or you can order a bigger one ahead of time to have available at your restaurant or resort.

My "baby boy" is turning 6 on the first day of our trip in October and I'm working on some special things for his birthday celebration as well. For him, I shopping spree at the Lego store in DTD will be a big highlight of his day.

When my daughter was 3 on our last trip, she enjoyed picking out a new Princess costume (complete with jewelry and accessories) at World of Disney.

Someone posted a cute idea on these boards about buying birthday cards at home ahead of time with different Disney characters on them and signing theme with the character names so your daughter will think the characters sent them to her. I thought that was a cute idea and even at six my son will love it! I might even get a few inexpensive character themed gifts and wrap them to go along with the cards.

No, you do not need to buy her passes if she starts the vacation as a 2 year old. Enjoy her "free" trip :)

Thanks so much for the info. Not sure exactly what we will do for her special day but I think her and her sister would love the princess costume idea.

My DD turned 3 at disney last year. We didn't have to pay for her and I got us breakfast with the princesses at the castle. They had the table decorated with confetti and a special little cake just for her. The princesses also signed a certificate for her and spent a couple of extra minutes with her. She loved it!! And we got the button at city hall and everywhere we went the CMs would wish her a happy birthday. She loved all the attention.... she had a special belle dress that she wore to the breakfast... had to change after though! And she got whatever she wanted... it was her day! She had a great time and still talks about it everyday!!!

My DS turned 3 at Disney. We didn't buy a pass for him but did pay for character meals after his birthday. We celebrated at Crystal Palace and they too decorated the table with confetti. He had a very special day!

Hi! Can you tell me where did you by the princess outfit? And how much did you pay?

Because my darling twin girls are 5 and they would love to wear a princess outfit when we're gonna eat with Cinderella at 1900 Park Fare, but I would have to buy the dresses before we go (it's on our 3rd day at Disney). Thanks!

I bought my DD's dress at the park. She picked out the one she really wanted. You can always get it the first two days you're there. They are all over the parks!!

We bought our costumes at World of Disney store in DTD or you can get them in the parks. They aren't cheap. I think the dress was $50 without the accessories but they are really great quality with lots of detailing.

Are the park costumes nicer than the ones at The Disney Store? Do they seem to always have all sizes? I wonder if I'm better off getting DD what she wants at home so we know she can get her size and it would be cheaper or if they are really nicer down there maybe we should wait.

The dresses at WDW and the DS store and very good quality but very expensive. Have you thought about purchasing the ones at Target or Wal-mart? They are still very nice and at $18-20 a much better deal, IMHO. My DD2 loved wearing hers to our CRT breakfast. Plus, if it gets dirty or a little messed up I'm not out $50. Just trying to offer an alternative, especially if you are looking to buy for 2 princesses.

 my how the time flies!!! It seems like yesterday that my little 5#15oz little girl was born.

I am making a t-shirt to bring and give to her saying something like "Celebrating my 4th Birthday with Friends & Family". We are travelling w/extended family (dh's side) so there will be her little cousins there as well.

I am definately getting the "birthday buttons" for her as it seems to promote more character interaction. I am saving as much $$ as possible so that I can get her an "official" princess dress (yes, the expensive ones!) at Disney. I think that her cousins will all be getting one as well. We (mommies) have all been talking about doing just that.

I will try to get her to "Tinkerbells Treasures" to "wake up tinkerbell" and I think that would make her feel really super special! princess:

She is a super duper sweetie pie... :lovestruc and I am going to do everything within my power to give her that extra magic! :wizard:

Not necessarily buying everything under the sun...just by having a wonderfully special trip!

Oh, almost forgot...we all (12 of us) have the MYW Dining pkg. and have all already agreed that EVERY SINGLE DINNER will be a CHARACTER DINNER!!!!   :grouphug:

The Diangelis Family is storming Disney...we'll see who is the last standing!!! :cool1:

WDW 10/10 - 10/14 :flower:
