Turndown service

Hi, this is my first post, but we are taking our first trip next week! CR 12/20-12/24. How do you get turndown service? Also, when I reserved my room, I had no idea what to request as far as where in the wings to be. My paper work says Wing- variable. I got a great deal on a fall code they offered. Room only total for 4 nights including tax- 731. Can I call this week and request a preference, or do I have to wait until we arrive? Thanks for any advice!

I haven't stayed at CR, but when I stayed at Poly, I just called mousekeeping and requested turndown service. I think they came almost every day after that without calling to ask.

Turn down service varies per hotel. I've been to some that include something simple like bottled water, homemade cookies and fresh towels to use of internet service, exercise equipment, and spa treatment. What does Disney include in theirs?

Are you sure you are not confussing turn down service with conciege service?

If you are staying at any of the Disney deluxe resorts you can call housekeeping from your room and request turndown service for your stay. They come in change out the towels, empty the trash, turndown the bed leave some chocolates.

If you stay concierge you get access to the lounge which has food and water offerings.

Internet Service is avaiable to everyone, for a fee of course. The exercise equipment/fitness centers are also avaiable to everyone.

Spa treatments can be booked in advance and the cost is additional.

When we arrived at our CR room we called mousekeeping and requested turndown service during our stay. Upon our return to our room each evening we had a clean room, our beds were turned down, AND chocolates were placed on our pillows! Love the chocolate!

It was "free", and we did tip. We were told by mousekeeping that since we weren't in concierge that they wouldn't guarantee turndown service (if mousekeeping was too busy). During our many stays at CR, and WL mousekeeping rarely missed our turndown service.

How much do you tip and do you put it in a mousekeeping envelope on the bed, etc?
