Turn Down Service

Is turn down service offered at moderates? I'm staying at POR and would really like to request it, if possible.

I first did it at AKL, and liked it... just a little something to spoil me.

Unforunately no, turndown service is only offered at the deluxe resorts.

How does the turndown service work? Does it cost extra? We will be staying at AKL and YC.

From what I understand, there is no fee for the turndown service, but if you prefer you can tip for the service, although not required and is entirely up to how you feel about tipping (but let's not go there again!) Does anyone know if you have to request the service? We stayed at Poly and did not have turndown service. I would love to have it for our AKL/GF Christmas stay!

I think you just request it at the front desk when you check in or call housekeeping.

I called, they asked what time, I told them around 7 while we were out for dinner.

I left $5.00 in an envolope, marked "turn down service - Thank You." but I failed to write specific instructions. We were two adults sharing the room and they only turned down one bed... It was my daughter and I and I think they thought the two adults were in one bed. They left a card with a nice thought for the day and 2 chocolate candies.
