This trip we will be getting turn down service and I'm not sure what to tip? Any advice? We usually stay DVC at the deluxe hotels, so its been quite a few years since we've had turn down service and I really don't know the norm.

Thanks!

I've never tipped for turndown service in any hotel I've been in and I've been in hundreds of them. I tip housekeeping every morning and that's that.

We stay in a DVC 2bedroom (cash ressie) and leave additional $5.00 in a separate Mousekeeping envelope each day for turn down service. Love coming back to the room in the evening and having the bed-covers turned down, chocolate candies on the pillows, lamp turned on and clean towels (if we have used the ones left by Mousekeeping that morning). I use a separate envelope marked "Daily Mousekeeping" that I leave on the kitchen counter and the one marked "Turn Down Service" I leave in the bedroom next to the bed.

I leave $3-5 on the bed with a note that says "turn down mousekeepers", when I leave in the late afternoon. I also love coming back to a tidied room late in the evening!

1) All of this is part of turn-down service.
2) And, even the fresh roses in room and carnations in bathroom are included.
3) We do not tip turn-down maids.
