Not my kind of thing, but my husband is already dreaming about a giant smoked turkey leg while we are at WDW. I know they are in several locations, but any advice on where the best ones are? I tried to do a little research but all I could find were Turkey leg locations from years ago, and they appear to be different throughout the years. And I wasn't sure if they were all the same or if some spots have the "good stuff." TIA!

The parks are almost down to only one location per park for turkey legs now.

MK...Liberty Square Market (LS) and Tortuga Tavern in Adventureland (there MAY also be a turkey leg cart in Frontierland)
Epcot...Fife and Drum in the America pavilion
HS...used to be at Toluca Legs, but I think they closed
AK...Yak and Yeti QS
DS...The Smokehouse

Any park! We are going to every park, I just wasn't sure where to go for it and it's on the "must do" list for him. Thanks!

1) Correct.
2) With the spread of "smart eating", Turkey Legs are falling out-of-favor.
3) They are til in demand, but just not as much as in the past.
4) See the Turkey Leg info, below.

***********************************************************************

WDW TURKEY LEGS "411":
1) Disney used to sell about 1.5 MILLION turkey legs every year!
2) That is about 7 turkey legs for every man-woman-child in Orlando.
3) Each of these bird legs weighs about 1.5 pounds for about $12 or 1-CS DDP Credit.
4) They supposedly come from 40-50 pound turkeys!
5) Nutrition, per Lisa Haines, VP Communications, WDW
. . . about a half day's worth of a grown-man's calorie goal (1,092 calories each leg)
. . . about a day's worth of a grown-man's fat goal (54 gr each leg)
. . . about two day's worth of a grown-man's sodium goal (5,283 gr each leg)
6) Recipe
. . . take uber-monstrous one leg
. . . inject copious amounts of salt brine
. . . smoke slowly at 225º for 4 hrs.
7) Available at the below (all Turkey Legs taste the same, and from the same vendor)
. . . MK - Liberty Square, Tomorrowland Launching Pad, Tortuga Tavern
. . . EP - America Adventure at Fife and Drum Tavern
. . . HS - discontinued at DHS
. . . TL - Surf Doggies
. . . BL - Avalaunch
. . . DS - Smokehouse

NOTE: We really do like the taste of the turkey legs. However, we seldom finish one, so
we save the calories for later. We still get the legs when we have a hankerin'. Additionally,
they do seem to be pretty "stringy".
