My husband's favorite treat in WDW is the turkey leg. I've heard from friends that it isn't available anywhere in DL or DCA. Does anyone on DIS know if it's available and where?

Thanks.

Oh your friends are so wrong! Turkey legs are YUM at Disneyland!

You can buy them from vendor carts. I am trying to remember specific locations, but I can't think of where they are exactly. Ask one vendor cart cast member and they can usually direct you to the carts that have turkey legs.

There is a vendor in California Adventure near the carousel walking toward Toy Story Midway Mania from Screamin'.

There is a vendor in Disneyland in Frontierland walking from NO Square to Big Thunder Mountain.

One of me and DD10's favorites! Yum!!

I do remember a couple of years ago reading a news story that they were getting rid of them, because they are not very healthy, and DD10 and I were really bummed. But we were pleasantly surprised when we went in December and they DID have them.

On a side note, I saw a funny t-shirt a few nights ago in the clothing shop across from the Shootin' Arcade in Frontierland. The shirt just says "Turkey Leg" and it has a cartoon picture of a big ol' turkey leg. DW and I both laughed when we saw it.

Oh - I may have to pick up that shirt for my husband. He's not really the type to wear a character shirt but I think that one he would wear with pride.

I saw the Turkey Leg shirt today at World of Disney in Downtown Disney. Was totally bummed they didn't have one in a 3X because the turkey leg is my favorite Disney snack. I have enjoyed many a leg while watching Billy Hill and the Hillbillies at the Golden Horseshoe.

On an unrelated note, DL was so crowded today. DW and I arrived at 330, left at 8, and went on IASW, Pinocchio, and the DL Railroad. However, my wife met Jack Sparrow, so she felt like the day was not a waste at all. In fact, I'm pretty sure she felt the annual pass was worth every penny to meet Sparrow, then get a huge smile at the person behind us in line who thought it was actually Johnny Depp.:rotfl2:

there used to be a cart vendor between tomorrowland and fantasyland somewhere on the trail as you go around the matterhorn on the right as you head towards fantasyland from tomorrowland.

It was there several years ago. I don't know if it is still there today.

if they were there in the last few days, then yes, there were unavailable...

but they have been available since yesterday. :)

When we were there, there was a vending cart set up close to the entrance of the castle, across from a coffee/hotchocolate cart. Not sure if that one is there now though. I 'm sure they move around but they are definately available. Although I have to say, it tasted more like a smoked ham than a turkey leg!! But tasty!!

There are a bunch of carts with turkey legs so you probably won't miss them. I usually go get mine from DCA in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot right across the street from the Animation Building. There's always a turkey leg/chimichanga cart there.

They still have turkey legs in that area, but now it's a permanent structure that sells turkey legs, corn, and slushee apple juice.

You must grind on a turkey leg in the left hand while chomping a spicy chimi with your right. Then wash it down with a dole whip and frozen banana. Only a dinner for champions.

In Disneyland, there are 3 locations that sell Turkey legs. A Cart on the west side of the Hub across from the Coffee Cart, one in Frontierland opposite the Mark Twain Landing, and in Fantasyland a permanent structure across from the Matterhorn Bobsled entrance. I know there are at least two locations in DCA, but I'm not as familiar with that park.

One location in DCA is next to Muppetvision. Also keep a lookout for the Tshirts that have a Turkeyleg on them...super funny! They were out of turkeylegs on our visit last week.

Oh we love them!! We get one each time we go and dream of them inbetween times!:lovestruc We are going in June and turkey legs are on the menu list!!
