I'm thinking of changing our dates (longggg story) to being at the park on Turkey Day and Black Friday. I'm not worried about the lines to rides but more concerned about just getting around (being too crowded) opinions please :) I know there is probably a thread on this already so if you can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.. ;)

We went last year on Tgiving, the crowds were very light. We had a GREAT time that weekend. We did our turkey dinner at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, it was delicious!!!

We are going to be in the parks during the same time, though we will have a day's head start (day before, turkey day, and black friday). I've heard manageable to light crowds. We are planning to be in DCA on thanksgiving day. If it does get crowded, DCA will be the lesser of the two evils.

We'll be there ~ T-day, Fri & Sat. Last year *from what I read here* it was pretty quiet ~ I'm hopin' it's the same this year.

We'll be there too! First Thanksgiving Day for us in the park. From everything I've read last year was not too crowded. In my case, anything has got to be better than spending the day with DH's family! :rotfl:

We were there several years ago on Thanksgiving and it was busy. The day of Thanksgiving less so then the days after.

I tried to find a very decriptive post about last Thankgiving. I think Hydroguy or BlackJack wrote it but can't come up with it. Anyhow it had to do with AP's being blocked and something about on day being great, one ok, and one horrible. Take a look a the AP calendar for this year.

You can see the calendar for each pass through link on the middle left. Remember that their are more APs of the cheaper kinds. Also that days that there are more blocked passes are traditionally the busiest.

I am going to be there the same time too! Okay, I'm actually coming in the day before and staying until Sunday. But I'll be there for Turkey Day and Black Friday. :hippie:

Last year Thanksgiving Day and the day after were light crowds. The days leading up to it were heavy crowds. Several California schools had the whole week off, from what I understand, and so it was very busy until they were blacked out. We rode Nemo on Thanksgiving Day with no wait in the afternoon.
