Turf Club, Thumbs Up or Down?

I am sorry to have bothered you with my comments, but OUR experience at Turf Club (described earlier in this post) was tragic in terms of noise.

We had the misfortune of dining with the loudest people on Earth, including the table next to us which had one person screaming at the top of her lungs. It was not quiet and relaxing. It was terrible! We almost dropped our appointment to see our guide to add on more SSR points, we were so upset. We went back to our room with powerful headaches. We should have dined outdoors, but the screamer we had seated next to us arrived just as we were waiting for our desserts and coffee.

This situation was not really the fault of Turf Club, but rather just a bad set of circumstances. I will go back. The food was great.

I've only experienced such tragedy once before and it was Whispering Canyon. In that case, it was the fault of the restaurant!

This has never happened to us!
My first thought to my reply was how quiet and relaxing it is. So many restaurants are loud in Disney. we choose the Turf Club because it is NOT!

Its a meal you can sit down and enjoy, relax, the atmosphere is great, the food is great

The Ribs are the best anywhere in Disney

Must try the apple pie - it is amazing. Equally amazing the next morning if you get an extra one!!

Turf Club is great. Its biggest problem is people who eat there want to compare it to California Grill, Artist Point, Narcoossee's, etc...which its not. Those are signature dining restaurants.

We usually eat at Turf Club once a trip, and while the menu is fairly small and sometimes the service can be quite slow, we LOVE the food there!

I went there for lunch just this last May and had the place to myself on the inside, there were a few guys finished up golfing on the outside. This was at noon on a Wednesday.

Blackberry Lemonaid. I'll go back just to have that again.

We have eaten at the Turf Club several times, most recently in April for Lunch, we enjoy dining on the outside patio.

Thanks again to everyone. We are convinced and plan to give it a try. One week from tonight!!!!! I'll call tomorrow to make sure we make a PS. Can't wait to try the mussels and I'm sure my DH will have either the steak or the ribs. Glad to see good reviews on both. With 3 kids we'll probably get to sample most of the menu, tee hee!

We've always had good service and food when we've eaten there. The Turf Club potatoes are also amazing. The restaurant is somewhat out of the way, so it has been in my experience a lot less crazy and more relaxed than a lot of the other TS restaurants on property.

I can't wait till we go back in a month

We ate there last August and the most memorable dish was their ceaser salad. Our friend went back another day just to have it again. Highly recommend it. A bit different than what you normally would have expected as a ceaser salad.

I had the caeser salad and crabcakes for lunch a week ago TODAY!!! Loved it all- next time I'll go back for dinner!

Looking at the ceasar salad on the menu and the deserts, since they are the same price - does anyone know if they would let you substitute the salad instead of a the desert if you are on the dining plan? My guess is no, but doesn't hurt to ask, right?
