First of all, I'm not sure if I am posting this in the right place, so please accept my apologies if I didn't.
I wanted to ask a couple of questions about Tupperware's 2010 Jubilee at Disney next year, if doing so isn't taboo for some reason. Not being a tupperware consultant myself, I am clueless as to how the whole thing works.
I guess I should provide a little background info. as to why I am wanting this information. It is honestly just to satisfy the curiosity of my husband and myself. You see, my husband's ex-wife is a tupperware manager. Of course, we have no idea how much money she is or is not making being a tupperware manager, and certainly don't stay up late at night fretting about it. However, what we do care about is that she frequently goes to a food pantry to get food for her family. Her family is down to one car and can't afford to get another, and since her current husband takes it to work it often creates a problem in meeting the kids' needs. The kids live in a high-crime area with terrible schools, and she can't move them out of the area because they can't get a mortgage loan to buy another house elsewhere. We pay court ordered child support to her for the 3 kids that my husband and her share. She is remarried, and they have 2 additional children. So there are 7 people in their household. My husband and I often feel badly for the kids and pay above and beyond what is required of us when we can, like for school supplies, clothing, activities, school fees, etc.
Anyway, we had the kids during the weekend of this year's jubliee so their mother could attend (it was her weekend with the kids, but her husband can not handle the two boys, so they just stayed with us). During dinner one of those evenings, the ex-wife called the kids all excited telling them that they were going to Disney next year. Of course, they all got very excited. My husband asked her how that was possible, seeing that they don't have money to even buy the kids bread and milk. She told him that Tupperware's Jubilee was going to be held at Disney next year, and that Tupperware was footing the bill for the entire family. I can't imagine how much that would cost just the 7 people in their family alone, not to mention for every single tupperware consultant's family! I know that consultants can sometimes earn free trips selling Tupperware, but a trip to Disney for 7 people????? Really???? I am having a hard time believing that we are getting the entire story. So I am trying to find out if what she is telling us is legit, because I guess there is a possibility that it is.
So, if anyone doesn't mind sharing a little information with me so we can find peace with the situation, I would greatly appreciate it! Is Tupperware REALLY footing the entire bill for the entire family of 7 to attend Jubilee 2010 at Disney next year? If they aren't footing the ENTIRE bill, what are they paying for? The hotel (they would need a room big enough for 7, so a standard room would not work for them....they would either need to get a suite or get two rooms....and Tupperware is REALLY going to pay for all that)? The airfare? The tickets to the parks? All of the above? A limited portion of the above?
Thanks in advance for your insight! I can't tell you how much just knowing the truth of the matter will help my husband feel better. I SOOOOO much appreciate it!
