I'm guessing the answers are red x and red x because that's all I see. If those aren't the answers, I'm not in.

Oh, by the way, while yesterday's thread was dying, I went back and read the posts that were made over the weekend on Friday's thread and I agree with Donna and Angel that pigs in a blanket are beef rolled up in cabbage. Are you from the Northeast, Angel? Maybe it's a Northeast thing. I have a great aunt who lives not too far from Pittsburgh that makes some great pigs in a blanket (and her husband is a big Steelers fan :furious: ).

did you see that Lou?????????? NORTHEAST!!!!!!!!!!! :teeth:

Apparently I missed that earlier.

What the heck do y'all call pigs in a blanket???

I've only known that to be a weiner (hot dog) or small sausage in some type of biscuit or crescent roll.

Yeah, I've seen/ eaten those, too, but I've never had a name for them.

I've never seen the sausage wrapped in pancakes version before, though, that Duck mentioned.

EDIT: Hooty and a half! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hi again... I should be in bed (it's 11:55pm here) but just had to read what you all talked about while I was gone... (had a lovely eveing too by the way)... can't believe you are on about pigs in blankets again... was shopping this afternoon and saw a package in the fridge section with 'pigs in blankets' on the lable... nearly got my camera out... may yet do so... so watch this space!

Dragon boy....Lou thinks Im ridiculous because I call PA the Northeast. He gives me a hard time about it all the time! So I was pointing out to him that you said we were the Northeast!!!!!!! :teeth:

What other direction would PA be? The South? The West?

:rotfl:

So then, since she won't answer my question, is Angel from the Northeast? I just want to know if it's a Northeastern thing...

First of all it was directed at Angel who actually does live in the northeast part of PA. Second I refrained from the whole pigs with sweaters argument but now I may as well weigh in. I never heard of anything having to do with pigs and cabbage in the same sentence. However......in all fairness to my friends from Pennsyltucky, I googled it when I was trying to figure out what the heck you were talking about. To this NYC kid (as in the heart of the northeast) pigs in a blanket are mini hot dogs in crescent rolls. But the whole cabbage thing came up from Google so I guess somewhere on this planet that makes it relevant. Just not in the real northeast.
