We were *supposed* to be at the Magic Kingdom today. DD (2 years old) slept awfully last night, and when I went in her room at 5:30 this morning, poor thing was burning up and had a fever! Needless to say, we cancelled our trip today (it was a one-day trip to the MK) and my poor 4 year old DS cried his eyes out when we told him..he was so disappointed. :(

The good thing is that, providing everyone's healthy (knock on wood), we can go this Tuesday, instead, as my DH has off from work and the last day of school is this Thursday. So does anyone have any crowd predictions for the Tuesday after Memorial Day? (May 27th) I know that we went the Tuesday after Labor Day this past year, and the crowds were the most dead we've ever seen them. I don't know if that will be the case for next week, though, since schools down here are starting to let out and whatnot. So any input on this issue would be much appreciated! :) Thanks so much! :smooth:

Hope your DD is feeling better Clover.

Last year we were at WDW the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through the Saturday after. While it was crowded (noth 4th of July crowded) on the weekend, the crowds pretty much disappeared Monday and we saw "regular" May crowd levels until the weekend.

Jen,
Thank you so much for your speedy reply/insight! Hopefully we have your good fortune in encountering low crowds, too! Now if you'd just cross your fingers for me that neither DS, DH, nor I get what DD has, that'd be great! ;) Thanks for the well wishes for DD, too- she's running an on-again, off-again fever today, but has a bad cold & lots of congestion. Guess I should have known...DH and I are celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary tomorrow, and one of our kids is almost always sick for it! :earseek:

I agree not bad at all.I had always gone the first week of May so I was worried too. Then 2 years ago we were there the Thur before Mem. Day to the Friday after. I was pleasantly surprised that the crowds weren't big.I think alot of schools don't get out until mid June anymore so that week isn't a bad time to visit.

Hope you're little one is doing better!
Y'all have a wonderful time!
