We are putting on an addition which is blocking all natural light into my laundry room. The darkness from there is also making my kitchen dark (laundry is off the kitchen). We cant put in a regular skylight because of the pitch of the roof and the room is too small.

I saw tubular skylights at Home Depot, and it looks like it would work perfectly. A builder friend said they are great, but our builder said they arent.

Any one with any experience with these? THanks

Hi Nancy,

We have a Sun Tunnel sky light in our kitchen. I absolutely love it!! It is the best thing we have put in our house. It has a flexible tube so it's a little easier to put in. We haven't had any problems with leaks at all. I tease my DH that it looks like a teleporter from Star Trek:teeth: . You can check out http://www.suntunnel.com/ for more info. Good luck.

I would use them if needed. :)
