Tube size for SAB

Looking to buy some tubes before we arrive, as an alternative to renting .... 36" or 48" .... does it matter?

I'm almost positive they're 36". As an FYI they have switched to all clear tubes and might not allow one that isn't clear--this is for safety reasons so the life guards can see seimmers below the tubes.
