Hi! Quick question - on Tuesday, we will be in MK and have a 12pm lunch reservation at Steakhouse 71. My husband has to work in the morning but will be meeting us for lunch and then coming back to MK with us for the afternoon. I’m thinking he can drive to the TTC and then take the resort monorail to the Contemporary. The only other thing I can think of is having him park at the Contemporary for lunch and then drive over to TTC and park after but I’m not sure if that makes sense. What do you all think?

If he is running on time, I vote TTC first and monorail to CP. That way, all of you are together to head back to MK after lunch. Yes, if he is running late, he could park at CP and go to TTC after your meal, but that adds that delay and time after the meal. So, I think it’s about his timing that morning. It’s the same amount of hassle for him, but better for you all if he takes the time before lunch to park at TTC.

That said, sometimes folks have work things that have to happen at certain times, and maybe he won’t have time for that….. so….

Unless you are staying off-site, I recommend a taxi for your husband.

Thanks, both of you! I should have mentioned - we are off site.

Then I suggest he start at Contemporary.

Then y'all can travel together following lunch - reparking at TTC before MK.

Only reason to start at TTC is if your husband is very early....to park his car.....get on Monorail to Contemporary.....but y'all may not be able to plan on your husband having that extra time.

I suggest he start at Contemporary, then stay together.

That is a great point, thank you! To park at Contemporary, can he just show his MDE app with our lunch reservation? Sorry, we usually stay on site and rely on Disney transportation so we never have to think about these logistics!

I have no idea what is required to enter a resort with only an ADR, because we only stay on-site (to avoid the need to think about logistics).

That's the easy part, and it's nothing to stress over.

FWIW, I won't miss The Wave, and hope to enjoy Steakhouse 71 when we next return.

I agree about The Wave! Did not enjoy it last time so I’m excited to try out Steakhouse 71. Thanks for your advice!

He just has to tell the security guard at the entrance that he has a reservation at Steakhouse 71. They will ask his name and may ask to see ID. They’ll then direct him to the proper parking area. It’s very easy.
