TSMM waits at Rope Drop?

Hello! I have an 8:05 PPO breakfast at Hollywood & Vine. With the internal rope at DHS, I know there isn't much of a touring benefit, but I was curious to see how quickly the wait builds up at TSMM after rope drop? We hope to be done with breakfast by 8:45-850 (might miss a character) to join the mass of humanity outside. Thanks!

Is the opening at 8 or 9am

If it's an 8am opening and you're getting to tsmm around 8:50 I'd anticipate a 30-60 min wait

Depends how quick you get there, don't know how much has changed, I believe they added extra track in the few years since I did it at rope drop. I know that we had a little trouble finding it when we went that time and by the time we got there the wait was 40 minutes. This was right at park opening. Maybe took us 5-10 minutes to actually figure out where it was.

We just came back and aren't rope drop people in that we don't get there early. We had a few days where we showed up at 9:05-9:15am for a 9:00am opening and went straight to TSMM. Once we waited 8 minutes, once we waited 13 minutes (I timed them using the Lines app). You'll be fine until about 10:00 or so.

We hit TSMM at RD, it's usually 5 mins before we get on the ride, when we're leaving the attraction the listed wait is usually 60 mins or more.

The third track has helped a lot. The line doesn't build nearly as quickly as it used to. You should be fine!

Phew, that's a relief...guess I still have PTSD from the chaos it used to be with paper fastpasses and two tracks...lol

We traveled the first week of July and were surprised to see TSMM waits under 30 minutes several times in the afternoons and evenings. No guarantees, but maybe a happy surprise!

Seriously! When we went in 2010, I was the designated runner for TSMM FPs at rope drop. I ran for it, but there was still a 20 minute line just to get the FPs!

We did an 8:05 Hollywood & Vine breakfast and then went to TSMM in mid-May. We didn't rush through breakfast & got to see all of the characters. We got a little turned around getting to TSMM (first time in the park) and got there about 9:10. We only waited about 5-10 minutes.

I miss those days.. There was an exhilaration in the madness...
