We have a Nintendo 3ds and it says not to let kids play with the 3d until they are like 6 or 8 or something. My question is, do you let your little kids wear the 3d glasses when you go on this ride? My son is 3 years old, and LOVES video games. So I know this ride will be a big hit with him, except I don't know how fun it will be without the glasses. He is also pretty short for 3 years old and so I'm wondering how well he will see over the car's edge!

Yes, he will be fine with the glasses. It would be very blurry and less fun without. Doubt he will complain either way. Your son will be able to see, but don't expect a high score...he will most likely just point towards the ceiling and shoot, that is what DS4 does ; )

I let my son wear the glasses when he was 3. It's a short enough ride that I wasn't concerned.

I let a 2.75 year old wear the 3D glasses and I don't think the glasses bothered him. Although, I have to agree that I'm not sure he would have really noticed one way or the other because he wasn't really watching the screen...he was focused on the pulling and releasing the string without any consideration to where he was aiming.

My granddaughter has worn them since she was 2.5 years.

Ok I'm glad to hear other's let their kids wear them. I just know they even say on 3d movies that younger kids should wear them. But I would assume it's because of how long you are wearing them. Thanks!

Our son was only 16 months so we didn't bother because he would just pull them off anyway. But if he was old enough to leave them on, then yes, he would wear them. The screen is a total blur without them.

I never had an issue with the 3D rides or short movies at the parks when they were smaller, though I wouldn't let them watch an entire movie.

I think the 3DS is different technology (hence the warning) than good old fashioned screens and glasses.

No, it is all 3d technologies but the science hasn't been proven either way. France considered banning younger kids from 3D movies a few years ago. I belong to the "better safe than sorry" camp so kept my own kids away from long form 3D movies because, well, it just isn't necessary for them to watch them anyway, IMO. But, unless they were watching or playing with 3D images constantly, it is likely fine.

Yeah I think it's really about time exposure to it. If you are looking at your 3ds for 2 hours a day, you can imagine that can mess up a young child's vision that is really still developing.
