TSMM and MM Officially Staying Open During WOC

Good to know! Hopefully the lines are short too!

I just saw that from Heather on the Parks Blog a while ago. I think it's a smart idea - Toy Story is way too popular of a ride and there are too many other things shut down in the Paradise Pier area for it to be closed too. Not to mention the fact that Toy Story is more relevant right at the moment because of the movie's huge success. It never made much sense to me that they were shutting it down - even with WoCs domination of the whole PP area. But I guess this was all part of the process of DLR/TDA figuring things out, seeing what works best and working out the bugs in the WoC madness.

I thought they'd already announced Mulholland Madness would be open regardless :confused3 So I'm not sure if that's "new" or if they're just spinning it as though they're now leaving 2 rides open. It's not one of my favorites, so we didn't try it this trip.

Good to see Toy Story's news official though! I didn't get why they closed it during WoC either.

Whoo hoo!

Fingers crossed that the lines for TSMM will be short during WOC. I will ride over and over again.

Glad to see it is now official! We found out about TSMM NOT closing when we were there 3 weeks ago, but it was like this big secret.

I have to doubt that the lines will be short just because a number of people will not be going to WOC on any given night.

I have read that the lines are pretty reasonable and sometimes walk-on after 9:30/10PM. We will shoot over there right after we see the 9PM WOC and see how it looks. :wizard:

My mom and I will probably try this out also in 3 days! :wizard:

Waiting for your report kiddo! :goodvibes

Just got back from a day and a morning at DLR. I thought I would just have a few pics, but I took so many that I think I'll actually write a whole TR (on top of my other TR and dining review!). http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2516314

I loved WoC!!! It was great! We saw it from the blue section at the 9:00 show. But I'll go more into that in my report. To give you an update about TSMM wait times, we went and rode immediately after the 9:00 show and the line was still its 45 min regular line. However, during the 10:15 show the line died down to 25-30 min. Not sure how it was by 11:00 though.

One other thing that I didn't know that is useful: In between WoC shows, they do reopen all of the Paradise Pier rides except Screamin and Mickey's Fun Wheel. Then they shut them down again right before the next show. So it's not like they are closed for good at 8:00.

Thanks. :)

We went to do TSM during WOC one night and the wait was 50 minutes. We stood in line all through WOC. So lines are not shorter during the show and after the show everyone headed over there so the wait was even longer.
