TSM with a 14 month old

Just wondering if anyone had any tips or advice for a 14 month old riding TSM. It will be me, my husband and my 3 year old. When we visited when my oldest was 17 months he just sat in between us but now that there are 4 of us we will have to split up. I am assuming it would be way too crowded with 4. Is it possible for my 14 month old to sit next to me or will he be sliding around too much?

You 4 could ride in one car with the kids on your laps. I see it done frequently. If not and you split up then youll need him on your lap. No way he could stay secure next to you with all the movement

He'll definitely be sliding. I wish this ride had a better restraint. I went on last week with my 3yo (granted he's small for 3), but I had to hold onto him b/c he was sliding!

When my son was a year old, I held him on my lap while my husband and daughter rode behind us/same vehicle. I didn't try much to play the game, but just enjoyed his enjoyment of the ride.

That ride jerks you around quite a bit...not Dinosaur levels, but it isn't that smooth. I'd seriously consider doing baby swap for TSM.

My mom thinks Toy Story is in the top three jerkiest rides at WDW & she is 700+ months old. We will probably never get her on it again!

I agree with the person who suggested swapping.

Will they let you swap? I thought child swap was only for rides with height restrictions, which would rule TSMM out.

I checked the list of attractions & you are right... yet I could have sworn we did exactly this years ago. Either I'm misremembering or something has changed.

I wore DS when he was 3 months old on TSM. When he was 15 months old, they made him sit next to me.

We did this with our almost two year old and I held her in my lap. It was fine for someone her age.

They wont let you do baby swap!! We asked they said its not a child swap ride.

In 2014 we did RS for TSMM. I just told the CM that I was uncomfortable with the herky jerky motion of the ride and I was concerned about my 18mo old's neck. She gave us a RS ticket.

It is not a smooth ride.

Good question. I know I wouldn't trust the list online. There are so many reports of the online info about rider swap being wrong. And maybe years ago things were different. Like, I could have sworn all the rider switch passes used to say something to the effect of "bearer plus three guests" (meaning you could get a total of four on with the pass) but when we got them this year they said something like "admit three guests". Maybe my memory is bad on that one?
