I don't really understand why they like to do rehabs on the headliners in what I would think are busy times. I mean last year they closed Space Mountain in the middle of Easter week. Rehabs affect the park's capacity so in the event of high crowd levels at any point of the rehab, it increases the chances of the parks closing due to capacity. I love Disney but will never understand the "logic" applied to some of the decisions.

Is that the whole of your trip Tracy?

no Lee, we are there from the 5th, so we ll be able to get on it atthe start of our hols, i posted for others incase they were there at the end of the month, i know there are alot of people staying onsite at the end of the month.
i agree cathy, why close at peak time...
they are also closing star tours after the 15th, so maybe they are going to do both at the same time...
bit of a killer for HS though, 2 main rides

to be fair, id prob say no if its the head liners
if its "minor" then id see what was available...
if not, get there early get FP for ts, ride star wars go back to TSM and then go where you have ADRS for lunch...
we have 2 lunches booked at HS - one at 50s PTC and 1 at sci fi, 1 before closures and 1 after, so we ll just get the rides done on day 1 and do shows on day 2, which to be fair is what we d normaly do

you are brave doing HS on the 14th, thats the night of the last flight to endor party, it ll be rammed
you could just skip HS and come to the pool party instead

Isn't that when Value season starts though? The bulk of kids in the US go back to school around then.

This way too it re-opens before Star Tours closes and avoids a clash - not like DHS has a whole lot of rides in the first place so perhaps that was a big factor for them.

I went by the dates that was listed on the link in the OP which says TSM re-opens on Sept 4th and Star Tours shuts on Sept 8th.

No idea how accurate Stitchkingdom is and I didn't hunt around so I could easily be wrong (happens alot ). I was just speculating out loud really

So instead of a soft opening they're perhaps now having soft closing's on their rides, haha.

Maybe Stitch is just wrong then, it does say it's from an unofficial source afterall.

Allears doesn't show any rehabs for August for DHS. They have either not updated their site yet or they are waiting for more concrete info before placing it on there.

Gutted TSM is our favourite HS ride. We arrive the 13th (evening) & spend our first day (14) in MK & we leave 3/9. Just going to keep my fingers crossed that it's nor correct. Last year Space Mouuntain (our MK fav) was closed.

On a postitive, I won't need to cherge through the park for a FP.
