Tshirts - sensory issues (adult)

I'm having a problem with t-shirt seams (from the collar to the sleeve) which rub on my shoulder.

It seems like there should be companies which sell short-sleeve t-shirts in adult sizes which do not have rough seams.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you talking about plain cotton crew neck T-shirts?
If so they are generally very cheaply made which is why the seams are so thick and rough.

I too have sensory issues. If I'm getting a T-shirt like that then I go up a size so the seams are not as tight to me.

But also I tend to buy soft cotton shirts from places like JCPenney. They have more give overall compared to your standard unisex T-shirt.

Try Lands' end relaxed Supina cotton line or anything from Hannah Andersson - although pricy they are soft inside and out. Maybe try one to start if they have a sale and see if they work for you. The crusher line from life is good is also nice but not as soft as the other two (IMHO).

I need to turn an inside layer inside out, then I can wear what I want so this is an option. Although I usually wear a cami without plastic but you want neck to shoulder so more than a cami I imagine. My socks are always inside out too, it's annoying to be all Princess and the Pea with fabrics so I get it.

It's possible you are allergic to something in the thread that is being used, like maybe it is an elastic thread with latex in it. It could be just the brand you have and a 100% cotton would be ok.

Can always try Cuddle Duds, super soft products but sometimes sheer so it can take a little time to find what you want. They have them at lots of places but Kohls has them on sale a lot.
