TSA with hard knee brace?

DS' GF(19) is travelling with us next month for a cruise. On Tuesday, she's scheduled for ACL surgery from an injury back in May(?). Anyone have experience going through airports with what I'm assuming will be the fixed knee brace? Her doctor knows about the cruise and has told her she can take the brace off to swim, but should wear it when walking anywhere.

There should be No Problem

When going through Screen Scanner There will be Bleeps

so she should point out the Knee Brace & tell the TSA person

They have a Hand wand which will be passed over the brace

No Big deal & nothing to worry about as it happens all the time

( I bleep as I have 2 Knee replacements ...... so what & nothing to be embarrassed about )

The time I traveled with a hard knee brace, they wanded and also swabbed over the entire brace. But no major problem.

Similar issue....I recently had knee replacement. Last week, when I went through the airport scanner, it beeped. I told them about my knee, so they x-rayed me and all was fine.
