Hello!

Is the TSA precheck line any shorter than the regular security line at MCO? We have precheck and it's been a godsend at O'Hare.
Just wondering since MCO security line to go home is worse than any airport I've been to! :rotfl:

We flew out of MCO on a Sunday evening the end of September and used TSA precheck. I doubt we were in line for 5 minutes. I LOVE TSA precheck.

Perfect!!! I think we will uber back to the airport rather than taking the Magical Express 3 hours early. :)

Thanks!

on a recent flight out of MCO, dw had PRE and I did not

she was thru the line in 5 minutes. my regular line was maybe 3 minutes longer .....

Oh my goodness. I said MCO alone made paying for precheck worth it. We walked up with no wait whatsoever. The regular line was forever long though.

Oh yes! :rotfl: I said the same thing, if it gets us through the Orlando airport faster, that was worth the price alone!

We live in Orlando and fly regularly. Precheck is the way to go there!!!

Pre check is great. Don't have to remove stuff to be screened only to have to collect it on the other side. Don't have to take shoes off and back on.

We have and love PreCheck. Flew home last night and it took all of 10 min (8 of which because a dog was going through and kept setting off the scanner)

But, I will say that MCO has had some drastic changes to security and our last 3 or 4 trips (starting back in May or so) we noticed there were no lengthy lines even in the regular security lines. We always fly home at 6:00 or 7:00 on a week day, so maybe it's just less busy then?

Interesting to see everyone's positive experience with TSA Precheck. Last March at MCO my husband and I had it (we haven't paid for it). Our 15 year old daughter did not. We decided to split up as we figured this was a good learning experience for her to learn how to handle traveling alone (she has a medical condition which requires her to have certain fluids, medications in her carry on as well as not being able to go through the X-ray machine). She handled it all on her own beautifully and beat us by a good 5 minutes through securtiy. I will be flying again in Nov. through MCO, will be curious to see the difference this time.

I agree, MCO has drastically improved security processing, however, MOST of the time, PreCheck is still faster.

One caveat re: PreCheck at MCO -- be sure that you get in the right line entrance. MCO also still has CLEAR, and I very often see travelers get into the wrong line and have to go back to the end again after they get to the ID check. At MCO, the PreCheck line entrance is rather hard to see, as it is up against an escalator wall. This is a photo of the A-side checkpoint for Concourses 2 & 4 (gates 70-129). The arrow shows where the PreCheck line now is located. If you are coming in from the A-side entrance headed for those gates, the correct line entrance for PreCheck is at the very far end of the security area.

Very helpful!

I don't know...we were at MCO last December coming home from a cruise...regular security line was still brutal! :)

I noticed this myself last August. It was the first time I had used PreCheck at MCO. When I got to security, I had to look around for a little while before I finally noticed where it was. Fortunately, once I found it, PreCheck worked great.

That was December. The improvement happened in early summer 2016, after a WHOLE lot of people missed spring break flights due to insane security lines.
