Do you have to make resservations for all TS meals months in advance? Or is that really just for the character meals? If we wanted to grab lunch or dinner at a non-character TS meal, could we reserve that same day do you think?
I'm sorta trying to sell my mom on the DDP and she says she doesnt want to plan months in advance where we eat almost every day. We typically only do one character meal each trip as a rule, but that was mostly for financial reasons.

Also, another question regarding TS "points" can you use TS voucher (if thats the right word) for CS meals? Does one TS equal 2 CS ??? I know I'm pushing it huh?

I read up on Deb's Allears but still a lil overwhelmed.

Thanks so much!

You do not have to make all your ressies in advance, but you do run the risk of not being able to get into places to dine.

This depends upon free dining and other factors.

There are a lot of threads relating that people have not been able to get into places with no ADR's.

We have made ours, since we are going the week after Thanksgiving. I'll report back on the dining upon my return. I'll pay attention to see if lots of people are refused - walk ups that is.

I have been to many TS's waiting for our time to come when the host or hostess has simply said no there is no room to the walk-ups. Even though the parks weren't crowded, the restaurants were. So if there's a restaurant that you simply must try, ADR's are a must if you want to avoid disappointment. We'll be doing the DP for the first time in mid November, I'll report back! :)

There is always someplace that you can use your TS credit for a meal, but you could end up having to take a taxi or bus to some remote, moderate resort's restaurant to find a place that will accommodate you at the last minute, depending on conditions.
