TS meals to go?

I'm curious about this too. It may seem strange, but DH and I are just not real big on sitting in a restaurant! We're staying at the Poly for our upcoming anniversary trip and I think we would enjoy ourselves more getting a nice take out meal and sitting out on the beach picnic style - just the two of us! That is my idea of romance!

Well that really stinks! I was hoping to get some nice take out and sit on the beach with DH.

I enjoy restaurant food, just generally not the noisy environments. Oh well!

You can do this at any CS restaurant and there is plenty of good food to chose from at those places. In your case I'd use either the CS at the Poly or GF.

Trail's End at Fort Wilderness (right next door to HoopDeeDoo) does have "take-out" meals. :thumbsup2

We were all desperately sick on our first trip to the world. We were on the dining plan, but were not able to eat for four days. I called several TS places and asked if we could do take-out. They all said no.

(I know this is a little OT, but we were staying at CSR. DS had not eaten in four days (nothing but Gatorade and crackers), and he started crying and begging for chicken soup. We were too sick to go anywhere, so I called Maya Grill. They would not do a take-out meal, but the manager felt sorry for us and boxed up some soup for free. It was the best soup any of us had ever eaten!)

I'm pretty sure you can call private dining and/or room service with the DDP-is this right? Each meal might count as 2 TS credits though.

My parents were able to order take out at Spoodles in Oct. Mom had to make an ADR and sit at a table and then Mom ordered and they packaged everything to go at her request. They found this out by going up to the podum and asking.

Last February, while staying at AKL we had ADRs at Jiko. DD2 got sick before we could make it down for dinner. THe CMs at the restaurant boxed up everything we wanted in take out boxes when DH went down to cancel our ressies and even suggested a bottle of wine. He returned to our room, complete with cloth napkins and wine glasses! We enjoyed an AMAZING Jiko meal on our balcony watching the animals while our sick daughter got much needed sleep! Talk about Disney magic!pixiedust:
