TS Lunch Alone With No ADRs?

I'm going to have a day to myself during free dining while my DH and DD go to a water park. I'm going to be on the deluxe dining plan but I don't want to make an ADR so I'm trying to think of TS places where I could possibly stop in to get a meal. I know I could go to Beaches and Cream but I'm not all that thrilled by their menu, any other suggestions?

Hi In Feb, I did a walk up to Tutta Italia and asked if a single was available. It was about 1pm and not busy. I have also walked up in late Sept and was seated. I feel that if you do not go at the peak time, you may luck out & be seated - except Le Cellier. Also Big River Grill is good, lots of choices. Good luck & pick something FUN!

Another tip is you can sit in the bar at some of the TS locations. That would be easy to get a seat for one.

I was thinking about sitting at the bar but I wasn't sure which restaurants have bars and are open at lunch. I know that all the 2 TS places have bars but none of them serve lunch.

I believe The Wave is open at lunch and it has a bar. I have heard really good things about it.
Prime Time Cafe has a bar and I believe you can order from the menu there too. They are also open for lunch.
I wonder does Yak and Yeti have a bar? For some reason I think they might. But I could completely be wrong.

I would imagine a non-park restaurant for lunch would be a pretty easy walk up. We often leave the parks for a resort lunch and it is rarely crowded. Another trick is to call for an ADR a half hour before you plan to eat and see what is available close by. We once changed an ADR to a later time while in line for Everest.

Yak and Yeti has a bar you can eat in. If you're at the Magic Kingdom, I'd either try the Wave at the Contemporary, Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, and Grand Floridian Cafe as options.

I've eaten at the Tune In Lounge at 50s Prime Time, but you might find a lot of people sitting at the bar waiting for their table, making it difficult for you to eat there without waiting for someone to get up.

As others have said, you can either call the dining number or visit the lobby area concierge desk for any last-minute ADR options.

I don't remember seeing one, but I have gotten seated there twice for early lunches with no ADRs.

We had a single sit with us at our lunch at the Beirgarten last summer. I thought it was a perfect place to go to alone because you can still sit and chat with people instead of just sitting by yourself...unless you would prefer that....

Probably *almost* anywhere (I mean, not Le Cellier, and nowhere that does the Fantasmic! package for lunch, but almost anywhere else). I would probably call the dining reservations line that morning and see what was available, or else figure out what I wanted to do and check the dining board in the park when I got there.

Keep in mind that the Brown Derby is considered a 2 TS credit restaurant. I would have suggested it as a lunch option because I'm hearing people able to get lunch walk ups lately. But because you use 2 credits instead of 1, I eliminated it as a suggestion.

No bar. Bar closed

Where will you be? A park, a resort? Eating 'off' hours - before noon, after two - is more likely to get you a table. Somebody mentioned Biergarten; Teppan Edo is another option. In both cases, it's shared seating - so it's likely there'll be a single seat at a table. Sanaa is open for lunch (Kidani Village) only a short ride from Animal Kingdom. Morocco usually has seating available (because people aren't familiar/comfortable with 'exotic' food).

Raglan Road at Downtown Disney. Turf Club at SSR, Olivia's at OKW. Captain's Grill at the Yacht Club. As mentioned above, Kona/The Wave/GF Cafe on the monorail. Is Trail's End open for lunch?

I did exactly that this past year, while my two friends went off to the water park.

Try out Turf Club at SSR; especially outside on the deck. Staff is wonderful; food is fantastic.

Then take the water taxi over to DTD and do some shopping. You can get back to your resort by taking the bus from DTD.

The Epcot resorts area is a good choice - there are so many restaurants to choose from that you are bound to get in one of them. The Captains Grille at YC is usually easy for lunch, unless there's a big convention going on (I did a walk in there once, and literally five minutes later the place was packed with conventioneers whose meeting had just let out!). You would have easy access to the resorts from either Epcot or DHS.

Second choice would be one of the monorail resorts or WL. For the same reason, easy access - albeit from one park instead of two. That's why it would be my second choice. I like Whispering Canyon at WL for lunch - it's not as loud and boistrous as breakfast or dinner, and I like the view of the lobby from the restaurant.

I usually take a 10 day solo trip in September during free dining (but not ON free dining) and I can typically manage a few walk ins, or last minute (same day) ADR's so long as I'm flexible on time and location.
