Ok so dd wants to go back to My Disney's Perfectly Princess tea party. Anyone have pictures of other teas or other things that may make her change her mind??

How old is your DD? Would she enjoy the Wonderland Tea Party? It's at the Grand Floridian. The time has changed. It was 1:30 to 2:30 when my DD did it. I think it's either 2 to 3 or 2:30 to 3:30 now.

It's for the kids only, no parents. Ages 4 to 12. They decorate cupcakes, play games, the Mad Hatter and Alice make an appearance. DD loved it. She was 5 when she did it.

My DD also loved the Wonderland tea party when she was 6. I think that it was her favorite special experience even over her breakfast at the castle, her BBB makeover and her pirate makeover with pirate cruise. I did show her the princess tea party photos but then decided that it was too much $s and talked her in to Alice's tea party instead. I know there are some threads on the boards with pictures from the Wonderland tea party because I also showed my DD some of them prior to her attending the party.

Not sure why you want to talk her out of it or how old she is, but here are some other girlie things to consider:

1. A meal in the castle

2. Session at BBB (hair, "make up", etc.)

3. Cinderella dinner at the Grand Floridian

Non Princess things:

1. Pirate cruises where the kids to a treasure hunt
2. Pirate training at the magic Kingdom

That tea party costs a fortune. Maybe try the regular tea for a whole lot less.:thumbsup2

My DDs did the Wonderland tea party...they'll get to meet Alice and Mad Hatter and she'll get to be on her own for an hour w/out parents. Those things would sell it for my DD. Still at the GF and they loved it. Another suggestion, a little different, would be the pirate cruise, if she likes pirates.

I'd guess because it costs over $200 to attend and she doesn't need another doll...

The Wonderland tea party is much less expensive, if she is old enough to go without a parent.

WOW that is crazy, I wouldn't try to talk her out of it, I would just say that isn't on or schedule of things to do, we'll find something just exciting.....Disney has a nerve

Not $200 a person; $250 for one parent plus one child (looked it up) and besides lunch, the child gets a high-end doll plus accessories and her own meet and greet with Princess Aurora. Might be totally worth it for some kids and parents - but probably not every year unless they're OK with having lots of dolls.

I feel bad for tring to talk her out of it, but it is so expensive and she has done it once already. It was a wonderful experience, but she has already gotten the perks and I feel that is what most of the money is for. We also have BBB and CRT scheduled since we are going the week after her birthday. I was hoping maybe someone had some really good pictures that would make her change her mind. The pictures that I found when doing a search didn't do it. I showed her the other teas at the GF. I will probably still do the tea if she really wants to, but it's worth a try to talk her out of it for a different exciting experience. Thank for you info. :)

She will be 8 the week of our trip. I tried to talk her into this one. It looks like so much fun and ds4 could go with her.

I need to ask my sons how to post pictures. The cinderella dinnner at the GF is the best character meal on property. My DD loved cinderella but Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters really steal the show. They are always in character and are the funniest things. Hold on to your men though. We were there in 2008 the last time. We had to practically drag my sons who were 19 and 21 at the time along with a buddy of theirs. But they did is for thier little sister. She was 13 at the time. She is also special needs so she could absolutley relate to an 8 year old. When the stepsisters were fighting over the guys Lady Tremaine stepped in to stop the "fight" . My daughter laughed so hard there were tears streaming down her face. It is definatley a must do, and the food at the dinner buffet is good, try the strawberry soup. For what you pay for the tea party the whole family can go to dinner. My guys are all still talking about this one.:wizard:

What about the regular "grown-up" tea for just the two of you? When DS and I did it, the only other child in the room was a little girl about nine, in a party dress and fancy hat, clearly having a lovely time. The icing on the cake was when Cinderella's coach pulled up outside and emitted a bride in full regalia. The young lady, DS, and several adult patrons ran to the window to look at her and the coach.

If she has done it once, not sure the benefit of doing it again. She has the doll,k does she need a duplicate doll?

I would invite both your DD and the doll to a special tea for the 2 of you. Or send her to the mad hatter party.

my niece did that and she loved it!

You can always pull the ol' the tea is in rehab if you need to ;)

We loved the Princess Tea Party, but no way would I do it more than once.

My daughter had a great time at the Wonderland Tea Party. Since it's a no-parents-allowed party, it's a little more grown up than the Aurora party.

You could also book dinner at 1900 Park Fare. Those stepsisters are a hoot!

My DD did the perfectly princess tea party two years in a row because she wanted to, but I really regretted going the second time. We ended up giving the doll to her cousin. I think it is more of a one time thing-at least it should have been for us.

On our last trip she decided to go to the wonderland tea party and she had a real blast. She enjoyed playing games with the Mad Hatter and Alice, and having the opportunity to play with other kids her age. She got a snack and a great keepsake picture, a mug and flowers. It was well worth the $40, and she said she would love to do it again on our next trip. In fact her little brother wants to go too!

If you want something super special just go to the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian, they have a much more diverse menu and you get to choose your tea. Then do one of teo things.
1. Order a special Princess Proclamantion or other princess package from the Disney florist disneyflorist.com This can be delivered to the tea at teh grand floridian. the plus is no repeat doll and she gets that special happy magical moment.
2. The Disney Florist can be expensive too so do some pre shopping. I bet if you slipped the CM a tip they would be happy to present your DD the special princess items that you brought, or see if they can put it at your table just before seating you.

Note> I have not done either, we are scheduled for our first disney trip in January and I had a hard time scheduling the PPTP which I really wanted. I did eventually get it, but above is the alternatives I had come up with if I didnt get it.

We have decided we are going to do the regular tea. Then she is going to BBB and dinner at the castle. :yay: It is on her actual birthday so I guess I went a little overboard. LOL! I heard a little about some of the things disney florists does. I will check the website out and do a little research. I am sure they are expensive though. I like your idea of doing it myself. ;) Have a nice trip!

I've done a detailed review of the princess tea party with lots of pics - link in my signature.

It's very much a one off event.

We are going to just do the afternoon tea on our trip in October.
