im trying to surprise my girlfriend so i need help ASAP

i want to go in the next month or two...i noticed online they have a buy 1 day get the 2nd day free.. it will be and my girlfriend going.

what is the best deal on a hotel i can get, i dont want anything crappy like a motel or something though. i would like something either walking distance or to where i can take a shuttle.

my plan is to leave on a friday and stay friday night, go to universal studios saturday and sunday..and drive back sunday night. so i would be staying 2 nights.

anyways should i order 2 of the tickets that are 2 for 1 and find a hotel (I NEED RECCOMENDATIONS ON WHICH ONE!) or should i look for a package that includes both

any help would be GREATLY appreciated...

thanks!

Since you're going over a weekend and during the summer, when crowds are high, I suggest staying on-site at the Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, or Portofino Bay Resort. We just got back from a stay at the Hard Rock and it was amazing. One of the best perks to staying on-site is the unlimited Express Pass access. Its like a fast pass for every ride that you can use over and over again. When wait times were 35-40 min in the stand-by lines we waited less than 5 minutes.

If staying on-site is out of your budget, we stayed at the Sheraton Studio City a couple of years ago and it was very nice. Its about half a mile away. I got it on Hotwire for $52/night. I limited my search to the Universal area and picked a three star and that came up.

Good luck!

$52 a night!?! wow all i was seeing was $130ish a night at the cheapest!

and i probably cant do the express pass thing...i was just gonna do it all be cause i saw the 2 for 1 day pass. i was tryin to keep the trip under $400 but still have a good time

Have you tried the Doubletree Hotel? They are across the street from Universal. We've stayed there and its a pretty nice hotel. Check hotels.com to see if you can get any discounted rates. Or if you have the entertainment book, they knock off room rates at this hotel using your entertainment card.

we got One Hyatt Place.. free parking, breakfast and right accross the street for $85 per night..
