Trying to Plan a Christmas Trip--Questions about TSL

I need help with a strategy for Toy Story Land for our upcoming Christmas Trip. We will be there the week before Christmas for five days. We will be arriving at WDW later in the afternoon on Day 1 and have planned a signature dinner, and we don't want to do a park on Day 5 so that leaves Days 2-4 for the Christmas party and two park days. We are wanting to check out TSL just to ride TSM and SDD. While we are there, there is a Morning EMH, which is on the 2nd day of our trip. Originally, I thought we would rope drop SDD on Day 3 and try to get a FP for TSM for around 10-11 because I know getting a FP for SDD for the morning of Day 3 will be impossible. What I'm wondering is if it would be better to attend the Morning EMH, riding SDD first and then heading to TSM (would I need a FP for it???). If we do this, we will have to move our Christmas party back to Day 4 which will cost a little more. Or would it be better to attend DHS on Day 4, making a SDD FP for later in the evening and then getting in line for TSM right before park closing? I guess my fear of that is that I may not be able to get a SDD FP at all which would make an evening at DHS more difficult. I know TSL isn't open yet, so it may be hard to answer this now but I'm wanting to book a CP package which should be coming out any day. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think I would try to get SDD FP for Day 4. If that doesn't work out, then I think Rope Drop on the EMH morning is your best bet for shortest wait for it.
