On I-4 trying to get to Disney Pop Century but its bumper to bumper. Occasionally we make it to 30mph!
On the bright side at some point we will get there and be at Disney! Yay!

Ugh. I feel you! We drive from NC too and the only time we haven't hit crushing traffic on I-4 near WDW was when we rolled into town at like 7am on a Sunday.

You're seriously posting while you're in the car?

Always hated I -4 because of the traffic.... Always preferred going down I-95 to Beeline Expressway, spending the few bucks on tolls to stay away from the I-4 chaos!

Another reason to stay on property!! As if the list wasn't long enough already.

There is also so much traffic around The Lake Buena Vista exit and the roads around..we just like to drive to our resort, park the car and that is it for the rest of our stay! We used to stay off property in that area, but no more. Just too relaxing on property!

That's why I avoid I-4 anyway I can on each and every trip.

Oh my its about the same time last year we were "parked" on I-4. This year we are going to stay right around the I-95/I-4 spilt and just drive to Disney in the am after rush hour.

Get yourself a map and if you go turn off I4 into DTD as soon as you can you can then go to pop the back way. Unfortunately, I4 is one of the worst roads you deal with when driving. If I had a couple hundred million to invest i would build a toll road from I95 to Disney world. Non-stop....

We get to Kiss the night before we are supposed to check into disney. We stay at the Knights Inn just outside the main gate and then check into disney 8-9am the next morning. This way we have the whole day at Disney and if we get a room we don't like we have time to have it changed.

And tourists wonder why we call it "Highway to Hell"... There's actually someone with a license plate that reads "I H8 I4" Best vanity plate ever!

For future reference, you can avoid a lot of I4 by taking S Orange Blossom Trail (17) to Osceola Pkwy. There's several stoplights but it's often faster then the bumper-to-bumper traffic on I4. Plus there are several grocery stores to pick up munchies at alongthe way.
