Trying to get a quote for a cruise next year

there's also a overnight train hotel to barcelona that departs from paris, here's a mad idea how about a few nights in disneyland paris beforehand to get you in a disney mood and then why not take the overnight train to barcelona? when i looked at prices it was approx £450 return for 5 people

I'm pretty sure you have to pay for baggage on Jet2, and I think it's more expensive than Easyjet...

:goodvibes

They didn't charge when the boys when to Benidorm in May, and the allowance was quite generous.

Mazz, my DS would love the idea of a train to Barcelona, not sure I would enjoy it though.

we've just got off the dover to barcelona repositioning cruise a few weeks ago and i must say it was amazing, the incentives onboard to rebook made it very easy to rebook another cruise, that's the only downside to disney cruising it's highly addictive ;)

This is probably a stupid question but what exactly is a repositioning cruise? I have heard it shortened to 'repo' but don't know what it is! :confused3

In the Summer the Disney Magic is sailing around Europe, in the Winter around the Caribbean. A repo cruise gets the ship from one to the other.
This one shown here leaves Barcelona on a 14 day crusie to Port Canaveral. http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/c...ntic/14-night-transatlantic-westbound-cruise/
Usually get some very good deals on Repo cruises as they can be inconvenient. For this one you would need a 1 way flight to Barcelona and then a 1 way flight back from Florida.

Just got a quote for the repo going back this month, for 3 of us it would cost £641pp which is a bargain for a 14 night cruise, less than we paid for our 7 nights on the Magic last August.

Thanks Wayne, I totally get it now!

I was thinking of doing a transatlantic cruise in the next few years. Would be good to do the cruise then stay a week in Orlando before returning.

Simon i'm so glad that Wayne explained the repo cruise for me (thanks Wayne)

we loved the repo cruise we flew down to heathrow and disney then transported us down to dover (flights really cheap at £32 each with BA ) and then we got to visit some amazing ports on this cruise, the ship stopped at cherbourg, vigo, cadiz, lisbon and gibraltar before finishing in its new home for the summer which was barcelona (were all summer cruises would start and finish from until the ship goes home in that transatlantic voyage in the next few weeks)

what they don't tell you about being on the disney ship and this is especially true when it's visiting new ports for the first time is the special magic the ship has that draws people to it, leaving cherbourg which was a new port for the disney magic we had crowds of local people come to wave us off which was really lovely and sailing away from vigo was truly memorable, we had lots of local children lined up at the port all chanting for mickey and when he appeared with pluto to wave to them i don't think there was a dry eye onboard, to hear the ships horn play and to see these children waving and bouncing with happiness at something we were very much a part of will always be a very special memory for us and it was like this in most of the ports with people coming out just to see the ship, to wave us off and hear that famous horn :goodvibes i would def consider another repo cruise without hesitation our ports of call were all fab :goodvibes

at the end of the cruise we stayed a night in barcelona after doing a tour with a local guide and then flew home on another cheap flight for just £68 each

needless to say we have booked another cruise for next jan and we have another in the planning for next may or august (with aug being prov booked)

a transatlantic crossing is also on my wish list too, maybe for 2012 ;)

Dates I wanted to go is booked up for the catorgary I wanted. Cant afford another $1200.Never mind should have booked it earlier. Sorry wayne wont be on your cruise Unless any other company have rooms with inside cabins for 3:confused3

Cheapest cabin on our cruise is now $2,266 for 3 people, about $500 more than an inside cabin when we booked.
If you keep checking cabins come and go. I check almost every week for our sailing, sometimes inside are there other times not.

ok will do. If you notice there is one for the 21st let me know. Will be staying off site though. May book it for the 3 of us then add my mom as the deposit is less for the 3 of us. Dont have much spare cash at the moment with the holiday creeping up.:scared1:Otherwise will be the 25th august for 3 nights (I think its 3 anyway)

Done and done! 7 night Med cruise on the Magic on the 13th August sailing!
Not really done much round the Med (well, except for living a stone's throw from it for a year :lmao:) so will be nice to see some of Italy but still that Disney Magic (pun unavoidable ;) )

:goodvibes
