I have another question. I bet you all are wishing I would go on my cruise so I would stop asking so many questions! This one is about what Night to go to Palo’s for dinner. I don’t want to miss the special nights in the dinning room with my children. So when is formal, semi formal and tropical night? I guess I need to make sure not to miss the first night in the dinning room that changes colors too. Maybe I don’t have a night to go to Palo’s. I just don’t know. Everyone says don’t miss it. I know that they do some fun things for the kids on certain nights in the kids’ club. I would really like to go one night when something fun is going on for my DD in Kids’ club. Does anyone know the schedule of activities for the kids’ club? I leave in 1 week! I’m thinking I should have booked 2 weeks back to back so I can do everything!! Oh yea, I remember now why I didn’t, the bank wouldn’t give me that much money. Something about keeping a balance!

Hi Kym Lain!

Trying to fit in Palo's

If that's a concern, you need not worry. The doorways are ample enough to service all sizes of cruisers...

What we have always done is do a double dip. When we had an early seating on our first cruise, we made the latest ressie at Palo. When we have late seating we are there at 6pm. We never miss our regular dinner even if it means eating light.

We also did a double dip and I chose to do it on Tropical Night. It really did work out well if you want to fit everything in but it would have been much more relaxing had we skipped one or the other. We had early seating and since the kids were doing most of the eating (we had appetizers) and kid meals come out first we were easily done by 7:30. The kids were dressed casual in tropical clothes and were able to go to the kids clubs without going back to change. I wore a nice silk tropical looking dress that fit into Palo and the theme of the night so I was able to drop off the kids while my husband stopped by the room to get a jacket. We had 8:00 reservations and were there right on time. What we liked about this night is that they show a movie, there is no live show on Tropical night. The kids were able to see the movie with the club earlier in the day so they missed nothing and we missed nothing. We were done in Palo at the perfect time to pick the kids up from the club and enjoy the Tropical night activities on the deck. I wanted to be able to experience everything I could while on the trip and it worked out with this plan.

Next time I plan less, relax more and just go on more cruises so that I get to experience everything. Don't worry about doing it all, you will have an amazing time no matter what you end up doing.

I have been thinking the same thing about finding something fun for the kids so I can get away. Try looking at the most recent kids Navigators on www.castawayclub.com and see what they might like to do. The tropical night suggested above sounds like a good idea.

Buckaroo's Dad, you fogot...fitting through the door is only the first part. You must fit into a chair too.
I find that I fit fine on both counts when I first arrive, but after a Palo meal I've had to grease my body a few times to get out!

I thought there was a live show every night? We want to do Palo but dont want to "double dip" since we'd miss a show.
