I have around $125 from my relatives for Christmas. I wanna buy an iPod, but I don't know which one to buy. My parents won't get me the shuffle because it's too small. Should I save enough money to get the nano? Which stores would you/did buy an iPod from?

the Apple store.
I would recommend an MP3 though.
but if you are already going to get an iPod, i'd either save for the iPod touch or the [new? maybe.] nano.

What's the difference between an iPod and a MP3 player? I heard that the MP3 Player is cheaper.

They are [cheaper] and i know that an iPod is supposed to be all cool and stuff but the name seemingly guarantees a great product.

I have had many problems with my iPod(s) i have/had.
On mine, the clicky wheel has problems, it turns on when it wants to, turns off when it wants to, doesn't turn on or of when it doesn't feel like it. my iPod has a mind of its own.

there are many cheap MP3s that dont work very well but there are also pretty good ones.
i've heard that target has good [and reliable] ones

I've never ever had a problem with my ipod nano. I got mine when they first came out. It's been dropped, kicked, etc. It's only 2 gbs, and I've never needed more space.

I'd get the new nano... it's only $25 more than what you have already at Walmart and Target. The 4 gb one, anyway. I like nanos because they're tiny and light, and can fit in my pocket. I wouldn't want a big ipod video, that thing is huge, my friend got it for christmas, and compared to the nano is sorta heavy.

iPods stink. Get a Zune, they're a lot cheaper and you can put more music on them

iPod is just the brand. I'm assuming that MP3s and iPods are pretty much the same but iPod is just more "popular".
I have a lot of friends that have MP3s. Some of them are actually much better than the iPod.

I got the new Ipod nano for Christmas. I LOVE it! I have a 4gb one. My old friend had a zune, and about 5 months, it broke. I know a lot of people who ahs had problems with the zune. Cheaper isn't always better, but expensive isn't always better either.

An iPod is an MP3.
It's just a brand of a MP3.. like Zune.

If your parents won't let you get the shuffle get the nano..
You can buy iPod anyway. I however buy mine from Apple's website because I got a 2nd generation iPod nano from WalMart and the top popped up and is all weird looking.

iPod nano, for sure. I got mine for Christmas last year, and my parents got it at Target. Nano is the best, for sure! :woohoo:

like everyone said, ipod is just expensive because of the name.. if you just need something to listen to music to, id recommend this:

i have that and i really like it! the best part is that if you run out of memory, you can just buy a microsd chip and expand it (like a memory card)... plus it plays wma files, which are much smaller file sizes than mp3 and mp4 (ipods) with the same sound quality

Now I'm just informed that I can't buy an iPod just because my sister was saying about what I'm going to do with the CDs that I have. -.- I'm stuck with all of my CDs then. If my parents allowed me to get a Disney Mix Stick, why not an iPod? =/ My sister also said that the only reason that I want an iPod is because my friends have one. No, that's not true. I want one because I'm sick of carrying around all of my CDs. It'd be simpler just to bring a small MP3 player with me instead of a big CD player and CDs.

I was talking to one of my teachers about the apple iPod a couple weeks ago. I told her that the iPod was really just materialistic. Like someone haveing a "name brand" item. There are plenty of off brand mp3 players that work just as well as the iPod. It's just that Apple and their products are more well known and advertised.

I have a 30 g Video iPod. I got it the day after Christmas last year. I love it. If you don't have a ton of music I would totally suggest getting the nano espically now that you can put video on it.

I got an iPod Nano [one of the new ones] for Christmas.
I absolutely love it to death.
It is perfect for me.
I would reccommend it to anyone. :)

I don't like the nano. Too small. Too easily breakable for me. I got an iPod classic (5th Generation). It's my lover. Esp. since my old iPod broke.
