Trying to Figure out Transportation Between Resorts

My plan for next week's resort-only stay at AKV is explore several resorts that we haven't been to in awhile. We plan to drive to DS for lunch and then walk/boat to several resorts. We would like to walk from DS to SSR and then on to OKW. From OKW, can we boat to PO? And then can we boat from PO back to DS? I wasn't sure if the boats are up and running these routes. TIA!

I haven’t been to PO in years, but unless something changed, there is no transportation between OKW & PO. You would have to go back to DS & change to the PO boat. Or you could take a bus from OKW to a park, then transfer to a PO bus. From PO you could boat back to DS for your car.

Correct. It's unfortunate but has always been that way, I believe. They even used to use separate docks - some docked at West End and some docked at Marketplace - but they all dock at Marketplace now, which makes it easier to travel from one to the other! Yes, it's one boat. I don't know what the sequence is - I think it docks at POR first, then POFQ, but I could be wrong.

Sometimes the boat to POR will also stop at French Quarter. Sometimes they use separate boats. Always ask to be sure. You can also take a leisurely 15 min walk along the river between POR and FQ. It’s very beautiful there.

Thank you for the information. We definitely want to explore both resorts at PO. We like to walk, but we will be doing a lot of walking that day, so I want a back-up plan in case we are pooped.

There is often a bus between them too. Not sure if its continually running or just part of the time. We've always walked between them.
