get my daughter a pal mickey.
Here is the situation:
My DD is going to FL for a week starting fri with her Dad , my ex. They are going with his girlfriend and her 3 children and staying in Cocoa Beach at his sister condo for 6 days, with one day at Disney. He has told her he is giving her (and the other children) $50. each for souvineers. She is going with us to Disney for a week leaving the day she returns from the trip with her dad. We can't get her Pal Mickey on our trip because our DN is going with us and I would feel like I have to get DN one too.
She doesn't want to spend her entire $50 from her dad on Pal Mickey and not get anything else while on that trip. (Yes my dd is an only child and is spoiled).
I thought about giving her my saved change so she would have some extra to get Pal Mickey and a little something else but I was planning on using that $$ for tips for mousekeeping and penny press machines. Also I am not sure if I should do it because she is an only child and is spoiled in some ways. you see I have been trying to tone the "giving" down some . I really don't want her to grow up expecting things to be free or easy to get.
So that is my delimma......
I know this isn't the world coming to an end, just not sure what or which I should do. And her Dad is super cheap (the man only spends $100 on her for xmas!) so I know he won't buy it extra for her. Also it really ticks me off that he is giving this lady's children $$, when she will not be around for that long once she finds out what kind of person he is. He has some real intmacy problems. Lets just say he and Tim Curry (when he was in Rocky Horror) have a lot in common. ( Which is the reason he is now my EX)
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Sharon
