So we went to WDW a couple years ago for a week in November and loved it, went to just the holiday party (so just MK) tacked onto a Universal trip last year and just got back from DLR. So we're looking at eight days at WDW this next year and we thought maybe we would do Halloween time since we've always done Christmas. I'm tentatively looking at 9/30-10/7 and just trying to figure out all the variables--crowds, hours, weather, parties etc. If anyone has any thoughts on that time of year I'd appreciate it.

I will preface this by saying that I’m by no means a veteran for fall dates. I’m actually planning our first fall trip for 2020. Most of the research I’ve done has led me to believe there’s a drop off in crowds early September (when school starts back up), and those start to rise back up through October given families want to do MNSSHP. With that being said, the new pricing schedule for tickets may or may not effect crowd dispersement.

As far as weather goes, it’s still the rainy, hurricane season. Still humid (especially closer to beginning of September) so there are those risks.

Im planning early-mid September, all things considered.

We have been during that time frame twice, the last time was nearly those dates in 2013. Looking at those photos, the crowds were not too bad. Still some clustering here and there, but I was surprised to see my wife pushing my son in the stroller on Main Street, me taking the picture and there's 10's of feet between her and the next person. Hot. Lots of sweaty shirts in the pictures too.

When we went during that time frame in 2004, just my wife and I, we had to sit through Hurricane Jeanne and hunkered down at the Yacht Club hotel we stayed at. Very quiet week, when I look at those pics. I think we only lost one day to the hurricane, but were kept entertained by staff.

We are looking to May '21 for our next go at WDW to catch the Flower and Garden!
