Trying to decide Nov/Dec 2014 some ??

I am trying to decide on when to go we have been in December 2012 and loved it we are going next year and I was looking and either way I will be taking my girls out for 2 days either way, has anyone been during Thanksgiving? how was the weather? did it rain much? or is hurricane season basically over by then? How are the crowds? Do they offer free dining around that time also. thanks in advance for your answers!

Thanksgiving week is one of the busiest weeks of the year, after the week between Christmas and New Years. It is doable if your expectations are realistic. You may not get to do and see everything and ADRs must be made at the 180 day mark if you have any must "eat-ats." The weather is nice at either time. I would shoot for the first or second week of December if possible.

We have gone the week after Thanksgiving for the past 2 years and it has been great. Weather was good and more importantly the crowds were minimal. Both times we have been able to get the free dining as well, although that is never a guarantee.

I am looking at next year as well! I am hoping to make my reservations in another month or so. I think I am going to go the first week of December. Can't wait to see the decorations!!

We've gone both Thanksgiving and the week after. I'm pushing for the week after in 2014.
Thanksgiving is great if you can get there well before Thanksgiving. The crowds are high Wed - Sat. Free dining usually ends on Tues before Thanksgiving. Like others have mentioned, dining reservations are hard to come by at the popular restaurants.

After Thanksgiving is probably the best time. Low crowds, Christmas decor up, they've had free dining run up to a few days before Christmas.

Weather for both are about the same. It can range from 80s to 50s!
