Trying to decide if I should ride Webslingers

I have some problems with motion sickness and am trying to decide if I should ride Webslingers or not. I saw a ride through on YouTube; it looks a little like TSMM, which I can definitely ride. However, from the video, it looks like the ride vehicle was shaking up and down or something during the shooting? Does it actually bounce around like it appears to on the video, or is the motion something that goes away if you close your eyes (like Star Tours).

Most of my motion sickness is related to spinning, but I can't do the smaller simulator rides that are very enclosed and move around alot.

I would think you would be okay on Webslings if you can do Toy Story Mania. Webslingers spins less and doesn't throw you around nearly as much. I don't remember the ride vehicle bouncing or shaking at all.

I agree with the above post. If you can do Toy Story Mania, you can definitely do Web. I actually find TSM more herky-jerky.

Since I know someone who would have issues with Web SLingers, I will advise while the vehicle doesn't spin or lift and drop, the video does. For my BIL, it isn't the ride vehicle that would get him, but the video itself.

I don't ride those kinds of things, not because of motion sickness but because the combination of flashing lights, noise, and shaking can trigger migraines. They really mess with my head. I'm fine on Star Tours, which is interesting, but not with random things coming and going rapidly. It also depends on the quality of the picture. Made the mistake of going on one at Knotts and it really got me, but the quality of the visuals wasn't good.

Having just returned and ridden the ride twice, I can tell you that it is about the same level as Toy Story in movement if not smoother. The video may get you in a couple places (it gets me a bit because I have to wear glasses UNDER the glasses) but for the most part, that is only 2 xs and you can feel it start to change and close eyes. The picture quality is great and the ride is smooth. Not like Spider Man at US or IoA or the Indiana jones ride.

I think WS is a bit easier than TSMM due to the fact that it's only a few screens (I remember 4?) and the ride vehicle itself doesn't have any motion besides moving you from screen to screen.

I wonder if the shaking or bouncing you saw in the video was more related to the movement of other riders/whoever was taking the video. I don't recall much shaking or bouncing related to the ride but you do move a lot shooting webs. So that probably shakes the vehicle-especially if all four riders (well, eight if you count both sides of the vehicle) are vigorously shooting- but you don't really notice it because you're creating the shaking, if that makes sense. But a video might make this movement seem more pronounced than it is.

I would also agree that if you can do TSMM you should be ok with WS.

I'll chime in as well. I can't do Star Tours, but TSMM and Webslingers were both fine for me. I thought Webslingers was a lot smoother in terms of car movement on the track than TSMM (TSMM was really rough) and there are no 360 turns or anything like that.
