So, I had a Canon Powershot SD1300 that I loved. Had only had for 8 months before my 2 yr old got ahold of it & broke it, ugh.
So, needless to say I need a new camera. I've narrowed it down to either the Canon Powershot ELPH 100 HS (which is the newer model of my SD1300) or the Canon Powershot ELPH 300 HS.
This is the 100 HS:

& here is the 300 HS:

Looking at them on amazon, there's about a $50 difference. They seem to have a lot of the same features but not really sure what the 100 HS & the 300 HS difference is?!

Wow. You're right not a lot of differences. Except for one having 4x zoom & the other 5x zoom & the more expensive one seems slimmer.
I guess going for the $50 cheaper one won't make a huge difference. Thanks for posting that!! :goodvibes

Have you looked into the Canon program, I think its called the Loyalty Program. You can turn your camera in for a factory refurbished upgrade at a real good discounted price. They usually have 2 or 3 models at different prices. They come with warranties. We have used it twice for our Canon P & S' and have been very satisfied.

No, I've never heard of that! Is the info on the canon website? Will they still do it even if the camera you're turning is is broken?

That's how I found out about it! I called Canon service for a repair and they told me about the program. Based on the camera you turn in, they usually have three options. They are not the latest off the line, but are upgrades to what you have. I guess the simple answer is to call Service and ask about it.
