Trying to book July/August 2005

I cant book anything over 3 days online.. and only packages. Does anyone know when that will change?

Can I book more than 3 nights., if I call??

I am looking to stay 4 nights, early July was my first thought, but then I read here Buzz isnt slated to open until July 17, and Space Mountain is down until at least then.... So that puts it end of July, early August. Anything else I should know?

Are there huge 50th events I might be interested in? Disneyland holds a warm place in my heart and I need to celebrate this birthday!

This is an adult trip. Myself and a gal pal. Heat isnt an issue. Lines arent a problem.

Soooooooo when in the heck will I be able to book the darn thing?

I keep hearing that Buzz has been pushed up to May 5th. It's not official, but that's what it sounds like. But SM is still not really known. Anytime between July and November, I guess.

The biggest event is probably the opening of the remodeled Space Mountain. Then there's Buzz, obviously, and a new fireworks show, a new parade, and a history exhibit. That's about it. Then of course there are the decorations, etc.

The celebration starts may 5th, so I would guess other than maybe some things only being on the weekends at off peak times (like fireworks, etc) and rides not yet up and running, any other special events should start then. They will have some sort of ceremony on July 17th, but I'm expecting it to be packed that day, and I wouldn't doubt it if people end up getting turned away, though maybe not.

I've heard that you won't be able to book, except their 50th celebration package, until October.

I'm going for a long weekend over May 5th and want to book NOW! LOL

I'm also going to brave the crowds for the 17th and am going for a week then! Can't wait for October!

I just dont understand why you cant book the package for 4 nights instead of just 3. Doesnt Disney want more money from me???

I want 4 nights of Disneyland MAGIC gosh darn it!

My guess is that DL often doesn't have the rates available this early. I think right now you can only book through the first few days of January. This drives me nuts as I'm a planner and often times this hinders that planning.
