Y'know, that "doo-doo doo-doo doodoodoodoodoodoo..." music that means something ominous is about to happen.
We've been planning this Disney trip for 2 years now. When we got back home from our last adventure at WDW in December 2007, we immediately began planning our next trip.
With the advanced notice, I decided to try and give my family (particularly my wife and daughter) the trip of a lifetime and swing staying at The Poly. For 2 years, I've worked all the overtime I can, worked side jobs everywhere and basically busted my hump to make this happen.
Now, with 35 days to go, the trip is paid for, the flights are all paid and I've even been able to swing tickets to LaNouba, Mickey's Christmas Party and a couple of special dining experiences. I've even pre-paid our PhotoPass.
Now, for some reason, I'm just waiting for that ominous tone that signals something major is about to go awry. I'm not generally a pessimist, but I can't shake this feeling that something is going to happen to mess this all up.
Paranoid much?
I've even put away some extra money, so if there is any type of major upstate NY snowstorm predicted on our departure date (December 13) I am going to pay to have our airline tickets changed and rent a room in Orlando to get there early.
I know this is a ridiculous amount of paranoia, but I'll bet those folks who got eaten by Jaws probably thought it was silly to be afraid to go into the water!
