Trying new places!

Well, I just booked the plane tickets so it looks like we are officially going back to Disney!!!
Last time we were there was 2006

In the past we ate at sit down places every day, at least for one meal sometimes more. Well, my son is older now so we really don't have to do a lot of character meals
We decided to just pick a few of our favorites and try some new places and the rest either counter services or whatever sounds good at the time

Here are a list of places we are going too....any opinions on these???

Chef Mickey (our one and only character meal just b/c of tradition!)
Liberty Tree Tavern (one of our favorites)
Rose and Crown (NEW to us)
Prime Time (a favorite and didn't get to go to in '06)
Sci-Fi (at my son's request)
Whispering Canyon (New to us)
Teppan Edo (New to us)

That is it so far, might add Tutto Italia, but we aren't totally sure yet.

We don't want to be completely weighed down with ADRs!

Anyway...I am just so excited to be going back.....it feels like it has been forever!!!

We had lunch at Sci-Fi, Rose & Crown and Liberty Tree Tavern Christmas week. Reviews & pics are in the "Part 2" link below. We liked LTT and Sci- Fi but truly loved R&C.

If you can add Tutto, I say do it! We had a great meal there in 2008 (that review is in "Part 1" below along with dinner at 50's PT).

WCC is one meal that we did not enjoy in the past and wouldn't go back to. But others love it. That's why everyone needs to try someplace at least once!

I understand not wanting to be weighed down with too many ADR's just be aware that without them you may find yourself eating at counter service and being turned away at table service.

If you can add Tutto, I agree with a PP add it! It is a great meal and the service has always been amazing!

Glad you are able to go back to Disney. Life just isn't the same without it (imo)

We ate at Rose & Crown in '08 & it was great. We ate out on the patio (upper one, not right by the water) & had nice view, the food was terrific, I had bangers & mash (nrevous at first but really very pleasantly surprised) & my husband had the steak & loved it. Service was timely & our server was a very friendly girl from Ireland. That dinner was the first meal of trip & really started our trip off perfectly. We loved it & will be back in March, actually exactly 9 weeks from today!!
