Thank you so much for this information! I had a reservation using my Disney Club card with National for our mid-December trip. The cost was just over $200 for 5 days for an intermediate size car. I was not happy but I made the reservation because it was by far the lowest I had found.

With the information you have here, I just saved $90!!!!!

I hope that people who are needing a car at this time give it a try because it sure saved us a lot of money! Thank you so much for posting this information!

Sorry - meant to be sure I put that in!

I tried both and National was way cheaper. Alamo was still over $200. With National, my base rate was under $100 with taxes and such it was $126! I am so excited to find such a great deal.

Someone else on these boards listed the National code a few days ago..

The Alamo code is from www.rentalcarmomma.com

The other poster said that anyone can use the National code - and I'm SURE that anyone can use the Alamo code..

I just saved 34! It was still with the same DC code, because these rates were more $, but I'm so happy! With AP rates being so iffy, I was beginning to wonder if any of my trip stuff was going to be discounted for Oct. Guess Disney is still the only place I haven't gotten a discount. I'm going to keep checking my rental, who knows if it will go down lower?

The National web site seems to be doing some unusual things with this discount code - perhaps using cookies. When I check a rate in the morning, the Carlson discount appears. But if I go back and change the car class or dates, the discount almost always disappears. If I come back later in the day, or use a different computer, the discount is suddenly available again. Maybe they're trying to foil the discount hunters?

Moral of the story - with this code, it pays to try more than once or from more than one computer.
