I'm a big steak and Ribs man, becaues I know that is what I like. Lord knows when I get to Disney I will be eating plenty of that! However, on the dining plan I would not mind trying something that I have never tried before and would never normaly get because it is too expensive to try (not blowing $50 to see if I like lobster for example). Lobster and Duck come to mind, but would like some opinions on what is really good that you wouldn't eat every day. And also, what is bad and to stay away from.

Thanks!

My DH can be quite picky. One thing that has opened his horizons quite a bit is trying places like Boma. He can take a really small amount of something and then if he likes it, get some more. He has become a much more adventerous eater in the past few years. You might try taking a chance on appetizers as well, because it's a small portion.

If you like ribs, go to Jiko and get the Tamarind Braised Beef Short Rib dish. That's a completely different take on ribs, and an excellent dish.

You said, try something different and the first thing that came to my mind was the:idea: Buffalo Steak at Artist Point. I have not had it, but everyone raves about it. Artist Point is a 2TS restaurant on the dining plan. Perhaps, you could pay out of pocket one night and do a CS, like Tangerine Cafe in Morocco. This is an unusual CS and it is absolutely wonderful.

If you want to try duck, I know LeCellier has a duck appetizer that someone raved about last week.

My other suggestion is the Macadamia Crusted Mahi-Mahi :thumbsup2 at Kona Cafe.

Just some food for thought!

Zooey, try the chicken and lamb combination plate at cafe tangeriene in Epcot, for lunch. It is located in the Morrocan Pavillion. You must try it. There are alot of different things on that platter. I think that will be pleasantly surprised. Enjoy!!:goodvibes

Head over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge... They have great restaurants w/ African flavor... we went there for breakfast and dinner and I am not the type of person to try anything new but my husband is and when he puts something on his plate I get the nerve to try things:rolleyes1 ....well I must say that everything I tried was YUMMY!!! Unfortunately I dont have pictures:headache: but if you do go to AKL try Boma and eat the Chicken Corn Porridge and leave room for dessert cause the zebra thingy's are so delightful!
