Since January of this year I have lost 40 lbs. I believe I am smaller now than when I got married.

Today is my wedding anniversary and DH just brought home roses! My little 3 year old girl said "Oh Mommy are those for your wedding?" I had this sudden urge to pull my wedding dress out, pop open the box from the dry cleaners and try my dress on.

Is this crazy? Should I do it?

I thought I'd add that DH stopped home after work with the roses and ran to the chiropractor. That's why I have time to post this question. LOL. Not sitting around on the DIS leaving hubby hanging on our anniversary.

YES!!

You can be like Blanche on The Golden Girls! She put hers on every year of their anniversary. I remember Rose taking her picture in that red wedding dress, and then there was that big gap in the back...

But do it!! Walk down memory lane for awhile :lovestruc

Go for it!!!
It will be a nice suprise for your DH when he gets home!

DO it. Last time I tried mine on it didn't fit.:sad2: Maybe some day it will.

Yes! I did on my 10th anninversary. My kids thought it was neat to see me dressed up.

Very cool idea~ I will have to keep it in mind for our 15th soon.

My (ex) SIL did that. She told my brother that it was important to her to put her wedding dress on for their anniversary every year, and for the first few years they were married, she did (until she stopped fitting in it). BUT she wanted him to take her out to dinner while she was wearing it!:rotfl::rotfl::confused3 He told her that he was NOT going to go for that...how many women in wedding gowns do you see at Applebees? LOL.

Yeah, she's an ex....:sad2:

But for the OP...if I lost a bunch of weight, I'd probably pop my dress out of its box and try it on just to see!

Quickly...I was surprised to find the dress was not sealed into the box. :confused3 For 9 years I thought it was.

anyhow.... I did it!

How pretty!

What did your little girl think?

I'd love to be able to do that with mine. My hubby often asks if I would marry him again and I always answer yes, as soon as I fit back into the dress! ;)

What a great idea, you look wonderful! Have a wonderful night!
