Try and keep me from going to my Happy Place **DD Disney Nails added**

Hello everyone,
I've decided to do a PTR to help pass the time, although my sis and I are planning our parent's 50th Anniversary...

First of all, let me tell you that something or someone is trying to keep me from going.... but is not succeeding... I am more stuborn

I am putting money away for my fabulous trip. One day while cooking, the stove exploded, I mean sparks shooting out of the elements...... I don't know how it missed my stomac, that thing is always in the way .
The next day I had to pick in my savings to buy a new one.. No big deal, I just put the money right back in the next few weeks...

I call my BIL and ask him how my camcorder is doing... it was not working well on my last trip to Disney (I mean really bad) and I ask him to check it out for me... well it's going to be 50.00 just to open it and from what I describe is wrong with it another 200.00 to fix it... , Oh! Dear, here we go again, so I walked to the store and bought a brand new one... again no big deal, but my savings are going down

Last week, my van started to make some noice, muffler noice, so I bring it to the garage and find out the it the Catilizer (?) that is finish and it's dangerous when I put on the fan etc... ok, get it fix, I need it to get to Disney ha! Bill: 900.00$ (credit card this time around).

Ok! is it me, or is there something preventing me from going???... ha! whatever it is, it's too late my plane tickets are bought and paid

I am going to Vegas to start up and then to Disney for 10 days and nothing is going to stop me!

Ok, I will now introduce the crew to this fabulous trip.

DSis, she is the one that makes all the ADR (just the calls), she lives in Gatineau, Quebec, is married and has no kids. So of course she spoils mine rotten... "So that's the smell coming from them" ha! I simply adore her, we are very close.
DB.I.L, He loves my kids and also spoils them. He just started a new job, since he lost his old one (recession, cut backs). He is trying to be able to come to Disney, I'm crossing my fingers.

DS just turned 13, so a young teen, still my baby though. He loves anything Star Wars, has energy to sell and is a sponge for new information, all the time!

DD is 9, she love animals, so her favourite park is Animal Kingdom. She is also my shadow, follows me everywhere. She is the dare devil of the family.

And me, single mom, working 2 jobs to make sure that my kids don't miss out on anything.
I usally work out the days at Disney and suggest where to have those wonderful meals and that's where my DSis comes in and makes ADRs

Let the Adventure begin... it's going to be fun and full.

We had plans to go see Criss Angel in Dec... my DSis wanted to surprise the kids with it... the only problem was that we had flights to get there and then nothing to come back til way after school started back (if you can call that a problem )
So we decided to go to San Francisco and drive all the way to Las Vegas with stops here and there along the way... cool. But that's when there were cutbacks at my BIL's workplace and all projects were stalled. And my DSis was not confortable to do that trip and drive.

So we decided just to go to Vegas and spend a week there. All my DS wanted to see was Criss Angel and my DD wanted to do Disney, but tried to find something that interested her in Vegas (there's a lot to do but a little expensive too)
That's when my DSis said "Too bad we can't do both, Disney and Criss Angel" and I replied "Why not?"

So our final plans ARE: (after 2 months )

Flying to Vegas on Monday, August 3rd
Attending the Show Criss Angel, August 4th
Going back to Ottawa, August 5th
Going to Disney, August 6th til August 15th

Almost like Amazing Race ha! ha!

Everything is reserve for the 4 of us... DSis, DD, DS and I... we will only know if BIL will join us in 2 weeks.

Finally today, we have confirmation that my BIL will join us in Disney for only 4 days... but it's better than nothing at all...

Thursday, August 6th, arriving at Disney, just relaxing at resort (OKW)

Friday, August 7th, Epcot, having lunch at Lotus Blossom, riding Soarin' and my BIL's favorite Mission Space, UH! Mission Space before lunch
We will then attend Cirque du Soleil that night.

Saturday, August 8th, Magic Kingdom, either we go in early and take an afternoon break, or go in a little later and try to use as many FP as possible, we have ADR for Tony's at 6:50 pm and then enjoy Spectro and Wishes.

Sunday, August 9th, Animal Kingdom, BIL wants to ride Expedition with my Daughter...We have ADR for T-Rex for diner and then we will enjoy DTD and maybe even ride the new Flight of Characters, I think that would end a nice day.

On Monday BIL has to leave, back to Ottawa for him, but Typhoon Lagoon for the rest of us... a fun day at the water parks... ADR at Olivia's at 6:00pm

Here is the rest of the plan:

Tuesday August 11th: Hollywood Studios, ADR for Sci-Fi, that restaurant is a must on every trip and it's my DS favorite restaurant.
I can't wait to try out the new Toy Story Midway ride, it looks very cool.

Wednesday August 12th: We can pick a park and we have ADR for Planet Hollywood for 4:30 pm, I know a little early, but that's ok, we'll take it easy on that day and make it a short day at the park and a fun evening in DTD

Thursday August 13th: Again we will choose a park,
We have ADR for House of Blues at 6:00 pm

Friday August 14th: It's our last day, so we will do a park that we really want. We have ADR at Raglan Road for 5:00 pm, it's our first time trying that one...

So on this trip, we will try some new rides like the Midway in Hollywood, Flight of Characters in DTD and try some new places to eat:
T-REX, Raglan Road and Tony's (first time for diner, we tried it for a Grand Gathering in 2007 for Breakfast)

We can't wait to check into our Home away from Home, we really love it there. I know a lot of people don't like Olivia's, but I love it there, the food is great and the portions are huge...

This Ceasar Salad was to die for... my DD loved it, of course it's very big, so we can share this one.

Every week, Olivia's has a special, that week it was the meatloaf with red wine and mushroom gravy.... it was heaven and again very big.

I'm soooo excited, I just booked Cirque du Soleil tickets for Friday, August 7th at 6 pm

Row CC, Section 203, 15,16,17,18 and 19... I think they will be good seats.

My vacation is getting so close!!!

Thanks to the great ideas from the DISigns Threads, I am making a pocket size restaurant menu, well CS and snacks ha!

I have washed all my clothes and starting to put them away in my suitcase, and starting to get butterflies in my stomach.

I just hope that we will not be completely rained out on our vacation... keeping my fingers crossed.

My daughter wanted some Disney nails... so I tempted my luck with her nails and this is what came out... she really likes them...

3 mores days of work and then we're off to Ottawa for our trip to Las Vegas before going to my Happy place...
