Looks like it will work great on a railing or something else solid. Would be great for fireworks. As long as you can get to a railing and no one is in front of it. How much does it cost. There are other clamp only style tripods. (no legs) If it is $50 then I would do more research on other products. But it appears to have a quick release. That is nice!

Sure it works.

I used it to attach my old 10D to the hand grips on Space Mountain, to take pictures during the ride. I miss that camera.
