Last year it was possible to get five people in a moderate resort romm, (CS, POR, POFQ) with a trundle bed. Is this not possible anymore,

Yes, but only in POR in AB. If anyone has information on the other resorts having trundles I would love to hear it.

AB is Alligator Bayou, one of 2 sections that make up Port Orleans-Riverside. They are the rustic lodge accomodations, vs Magnolia Bend which are in the mansion style accomodations. We have stayed in the AB section (bldg 18) of Port Orleans (called Dixie Landings back then!) and the kids loved it. HTH

I made reservations a few weeks ago at POR in the AB section. We are a family of five. I asked the CM if any other mods. would let you have five in the room and was told no. You can if you have a small child in a crib, but we don't. Hope this info helps.

I think that POR (formerly Dixie Landings) is and was the only moderate to allow 5 in a room, unless there was a child under 3 that could sleep in a Pack and Play. I don't think 5 were ever allowed in CS, CBR or POFQ.

Yep POR is the only place for a family of 5 to share a room (excluding deluxe). We have stayed there twice and love it. I have slept on the trundle myself and it's comfy (you can't be too tall thought I'm 5'5")

Hi,
The only moderate that has ever had trudle beds is the POR and only the AB section of POR. You can still book five at POR and they no longer charge the extra $15 a night for the bed.

POFQ never had trudle beds. Back when the two resorts opened POFQ and Dixie Landings (now known as POR) only the AB section of POR had trudle beds and that is still the only moderate that sleeps five.

We stayed at POR in AB with a trundle bed. I can tell you that it is not much of a bed. If you really want a comfortable place for someone to sleep, you might want to consider an Aero bed. You can get the less fancy model pretty cheap. What a difference. JMHO.

The trundle @ POR is about as good as a old blanket on a concrete floor.. Take an Aero bed or similar, I don't think they let you book w/ unless at least one is under 9 or 8???

Who knows and no, they aren't bigger than the other moderates. I don't see why they can't add them to the other moderate resorts, but I am sure it is all about having to make people book deluxes that can hold that many of the cabins.

They will let you get a rollaway bed in the Mansions sections of POR if you are a family of 5. I know because they offered this to us when we didn't care for any of the locations of the AB rooms they had left. We took a mansions room with a rollaway. But then we missed the GF too much and went back so I can't tell you how well the rollaway would have fit but we did definitely check into a Mansions POR room with five!

The beds are doubles, you sleep 2 to a bed. No they don't provide cots for the other people. If you get an Aligator Bayou room, you'll have a trundle bed, usually under the first bed near the door, and it's SMALL. Consider the size of a crib mattress for someone under 5' and 70lbs, Usually a child under 9

I had heard you could book a roll away bed at the other mods, but then was told CSR doesn't have them anymore. Do the other mods have them still?

We are only a family of four, but our boys don't sleep well together......

We stayed in the bunks at AKL, but next year are going to try to do a mod.
